A private family of three (two adults, one child) based in Dubai South is seeking a full-time live-in Chauffeur. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of driving experience, including the confident operation of large SUVs, and possess an excellent knowledge of roads and traffic patterns throughout Dubai. The role is suited for someone who is punctual, respectful, discreet, and safety-conscious.
The start date for the position is June 2026.
We understand that families hiring a chauffeur need someone who represents them, protects them, and makes every journey feel easy, they don’t have to think about it.
Our co-founder Morgan understands this firsthand. Before starting Morgan & Mallet, he worked in Paris for a luxury car rental company managing Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and other high-end vehicles for wealthy clients. “I was an excellent driver and knew luxury cars inside and out. I’d pick up and deliver vehicles, meet clients, show them different options. You learn quickly that these clients expect perfection in every detail.”
Morgan then went on to work as a Butler in London where he gained more experience in the world of high net worth individuals.
That experience shaped how we place chauffeurs. We recruit chauffeurs who understand that your role extends beyond the driver’s seat. You’re often the first and last person someone interacts with each day. Your demeanor sets the tone of the experience the client has.
Laurine our other co-founder learned through years of recruitment that small details show someones character. When checking references for a butler, she discovered he had voluntarily taken over driving duties when the family’s regular chauffeur was sick. “It wasn’t in his contract, but he did it with pleasure. Candidates sometimes forget to mention these moments, but that’s exactly what we look for, people who help without being asked.”
We place chauffeurs who understand this, that they aren’t just there to drive the car and that’s it. The role is so much more and to be a successful private driver takes not only driving skills but people skills too
Technical driving skills are your foundation. But families hire you for everything that surrounds those skills. Your personality, the way you are with the children in the family, the way you treat guests. Everything gets noticed and taken into account by your employer.
We look at all of this when we hire a chauffeur and it forms part of our recruitment process.
The chauffeur role has clear professional boundaries. Laurine explains: “You never initiate conversation. You never comment on what you hear. You wait for them to speak first.”
This creates a professional environment where principals feel comfortable being themselves, whether that means working, taking personal calls, or having private family discussions.
What this means practically:
Greet professionally (“Good morning, sir/madam”), confirm destination, then focus on driving unless they initiate conversation.
Stay focused on the road. If they take calls, you become invisible. If they want to chat, they’ll start.
Your relationship ends when they exit the vehicle. No social media connections, no sharing stories about your day, no crossing professional lines.
Business discussions you overhear, family matters, where they go, who they meet with are all completely confidential.
This might seem formal, but it’s what allows principals to relax in your vehicle. They trust you with their safety and privacy. Maybe later when your relationship with your principal has developed further you will be able to judge if the boundaries have moved and they would prefer you to be a little but less formal, but this very much varies depending on the principal. It is down to your skill on how to judge this.
Our founders and recruitment consultants backgrounds in luxury service means we understand what to look for from our candidates and what our clients want.
This means we can place candidates with clients where we think the placement will be a long term success. This is why we have so much repeat business.
Our clients take driving seriously. They need someone who understands the profession and can deal with whatever is thrown at them.
The families we work with expect a chauffeur who can adapt to their routine at the first time of asking.
We spend 20 to 40 minutes with every client building a detailed brief, driving style, city knowledge, vehicle preferences and schedule.
If the role is a replacement, they already know exactly what they want. If it’s new, we help them figure it out.
