Job description

A prominent private family is seeking an exceptionally talented, highly experienced Private Micheline Star Executive Chef to manage their daily culinary needs across multiple residences globally.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong Micheline-star culinary background, a proven track record of long-term retention in high-end private households, and expertise in high-level health and wellness cuisine.

This position demands a high degree of flexibility, as the chef will travel extensively with the family throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Culinary Excellence & Menu Planning: Plan and execute refined breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily for two principals and staff (typically 2 to 6 people total), as well as occasional entertaining for extended family and guests.
  • Health & Wellness Focus: Prepare sophisticated, clean, and health-conscious cuisine with a strict emphasis on no refined sugars, low-fat preparations, and nutrient-dense, balanced meals.
  • Cuisine Versatility: Offer diverse, high-concept menus spanning Mediterranean, French, Japanese (including high-level sushi), Levant, and Indian cuisines.
  • Sourcing & Inventory: Oversee total kitchen management, including sourcing, purchasing, and inspecting the finest organic, locally farmed, and high-quality seasonal ingredients at every location.
  • Global Travel & Adaptability: Set up and efficiently run kitchens across various family estates (Miami, London, Aspen, and New York) according to the annual travel schedule.
  • Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain impeccably clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen environments compliant with the highest standards.

 

Yearly Travel & Location Schedule (Subject to Minor Adjustments):

    • January – Early May: Miami, FL
    • Early May – End of June: London, UK
    • June: St.Tropez
    • July: Off / Paid Vacation
    • August – Mid-September: Aspen, CO
    • Mid-September – Thanksgiving: London, UK
    • October: St. Tropez
    • Thanksgiving Week: United States (typically Miami, FL)
    • Early December: London, UK
    • Late December: Aspen, CO

Requirements

  • Formal Culinary Background: Extensive classical training with verified experience in renowned Michelin-starred establishments.
  • Private Household Longevity: Demonstrated history of long-term employment and tenure within private family environments.
  • Right-to-Work / Visa Requirements (Must meet one of the following):
  • Option A: Dual US / UK Citizenship (Highly Preferred).
  • Option B: UK National with exceptional, top-tier credentials eligible for a US O-1 Extraordinary Ability Visa.
  • Option C: US Citizen/Permanent Resident eligible for UK entry visas.
  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Professional Demeanor: Discretion, adaptability, and seamless integration into a busy, multi-property private household setting.

Work conditions

  • Location: Primary Base: Miami, FL | Travel: London (UK), Aspen (CO), New York (NY)
  • Schedule: Full-Time | 5 Days/Week (Currently Sunday – Thursday)

 

Benefits:

  • Accommodations: Housing is fully provided by the principals in all travel locations outside of Miami (London, Aspen, New York, etc.). In Miami, the role is local/live-out.
  • Relocation/Family Policy: Accommodations and travel expenses are provided solely for the employee. Family accommodations/flights are not included.

 

Salary

$200k gross annual, compensation package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
