Job description
A private household in London is seeking a mature, highly professional Private Chef to cook for a family of two adults and one child.
The role requires someone experienced, organised, calm under pressure, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and kitchen management. This is a live-out position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare two meals daily for the family (lunch and dinner), with the child's lunch served slightly earlier
- Prepare a staff meal for up to 8 staff members each day
- Cook family-style dishes, with an emphasis on Mediterranean cuisine, low sodium, and healthy, varied menus, including child-friendly options
- Create a weekly menu for the principal's approval.
- Maintain an exceptionally clean, organised, and tidy kitchen at all times a critical requirement, as the principal frequently enters the kitchen.

Ensure proper use and care of a fully equipped kitchen.
- Use the household's existing supermarket accounts to order groceries efficiently.
- Collaborate smoothly with the butler and other household staff; maintain a team-focused, respectful attitude.
- Demonstrate strong time management, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Be flexible: although the schedule is 6 days per week, occasional additional workdays may be required and will be compensated with leave.
- Present a portfolio of dishes and an example weekly menu as part of the application.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a private chef
- HNW or UHNW household experience
- Checkable references
- Fluent English

Mature and responsible demeanour
- Currently based in London or able to relocate for the role
- Strong background in Mediterranean cuisine and healthy cooking
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen hygiene, organisation, and food safety standards
- Calm, discreet, and able to work efficiently within a household team
- Live-out: must have own means of transport
- Right to work in the UK required
