Job description
A distinguished private household in Lusail, Qatar is seeking a talented, experienced, and professional Private Chef to deliver exceptional culinary experiences for the principal and their family on a daily basis.
This is a hands-on, trust-based role for a chef who takes genuine pride in their craft, understands the standards of a luxury private household, and is passionate about producing fresh, high-quality meals tailored to the family's tastes, health goals, and lifestyle.
The ideal candidate brings experience from a private household, VIP environment, or five-star hospitality background, and is comfortable managing all aspects of the kitchen independently and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for the principal and family on a daily basis.
- Design and execute varied, creative weekly menus that reflect the family's preferences, dietary needs, and seasonal produce.
- Adapt menus for different members of the household including adults, children, and guests.
- Prepare nutritious, balanced, and appealing meals for children with an understanding of age-appropriate nutrition.
- Cook healthy, high-protein, and grilled dishes as part of the family's regular dietary preferences.
- Prepare fresh seafood dishes and international cuisine, with a particular strength in Mediterranean cooking.
- Maintain the kitchen to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization at all times.
- Manage kitchen inventory, track stock levels, and ensure nothing runs short.
- Source fresh, premium-quality ingredients from trusted suppliers and markets.
- Handle grocery shopping and ingredient procurement with care and budget awareness.
- Ensure correct food storage, labelling, and rotation procedures are always followed.
- Maintain all kitchen equipment in good working order and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Prepare special meals, celebratory dishes, and bespoke menus for family occasions and private gatherings.
- Adapt seamlessly to last-minute requests and changing family schedules with professionalism and calm.
- Cater to visiting guests and ensure hospitality standards are consistently upheld.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Private Chef in a high-net-worth household, VIP family residence, or five-star hotel essential.
- Strong culinary skill set across healthy cooking, high-protein dishes, grilled foods, fresh seafood, and children's meals.
- Ability to design varied weekly menus and adapt to diverse dietary requirements and personal preferences.
- Excellent knowledge of food hygiene, kitchen safety, ingredient storage, and cleanliness standards.
- Experience sourcing fresh, high-quality produce and managing kitchen inventory efficiently.
- Professional, discreet, organized, and fully trustworthy in a private home environment.
- Flexible and adaptable to the evolving schedule and needs of a private household.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction as well as work independently.
- Open to relocation to Lusail, Qatar - candidates already based in Qatar are also welcome.
Work conditions
- Accommodation: Provided by the employer
- Work Schedule: 6 days per week, 8 hours per day
- Location: Lusail, Qatar
