Job description
A lovely family in Dubai is seeking a warm, reliable, and skilled Private Cook / Home Chef to join their household.
This role is primarily focused on preparing nutritious, balanced, and appealing meals for three children, while also creating high-quality pastries and baked goods for regular family tea times.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for cooking for children, a strong understanding of nutrition, and a creative flair for pastries, bringing both care and consistency into the family’s daily dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare daily meals primarily for three children, ensuring dishes are nutritious, well-balanced, and age-appropriate.
- Plan weekly menus tailored to the children’s dietary needs, preferences, and any allergies or restrictions.
- Create a variety of fresh pastries, baked goods, and desserts for regular family tea times and occasions.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene at all times.
- Source fresh, high-quality ingredients and manage grocery shopping or coordinate with household staff.
- Adapt meals to suit the family’s schedule, including school routines and activities.
- Introduce new, healthy recipes in a creative and engaging way for children.
- Ensure the kitchen is kept clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Manage portion control and reduce food waste where possible.
- Occasionally prepare meals for other family members or small gatherings if required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Private Chef, Home Cook, or similar role within a private household.
- Strong knowledge of child nutrition and the ability to prepare balanced, healthy meals for children.
- Solid pastry and baking skills (essential), with the ability to produce a variety of tea-time items.
- Understanding of different cuisines with a focus on simple, wholesome, and flavorful dishes.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a private household setting.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organization standards.
- Flexible, discreet, and respectful of family privacy.
- Good communication skills and a positive, patient attitude when working in a family.

Work conditions
- Accomodation: Live in option or live out.
- Work Schedule: 6 days of work per week with 1day off.
- Location: Dubai, UAE
- Start Date: As soon as possible.
