Housekeeper job (M/F) in Paris, France
Job description
The family of five is seeking an experienced, full-time, live-out Housekeeper/Governess for a stable, long-term position in their single-level, 280 m² apartment in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, comprising five bedrooms, three full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms.
The household includes three young children and a senior Golden Retriever. The candidate must be comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced family environment; no nanny duties are required.
Responsibilities
- Complete cleaning and general upkeep of the apartment
- Regular and deep cleaning throughout the home
- Deep cleaning of the kitchen and bathrooms
- Deep cleaning of kitchen appliances, cabinets, cupboards, drawers and storage areas
- Mopping, vacuuming and dusting floors
- Window cleaning
- Laundry, ironing, folding and management of bed linens and towels
- Organisation of household supplies, cleaning products, household items, storage areas and family personal belongings
- Monitoring household supplies
- Maintaining an organised and efficiently functioning home
- Cooking and preparation of simple, fresh family meals
- Local errands: groceries, household supplies, dry cleaning, packages, pharmacy pickups and other reasonable household or personal errands
- Care of the family's Golden Retriever: walking, feeding and occasional grooming appointments
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional private-household experience; 7+ years preferred
- Strong and verifiable references
- Previous experience in family households with children and fast-paced environments preferred
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, dependable, punctual and discreet
- Capable of working independently
- Basic English required
- Reliability, punctuality and consistency essential
Work conditions
- Full-time, live-out position
- Minimum 40 hours per week, five days per week, with a consistent weekly schedule
- Additional hours may occasionally be requested (holidays, guests, special events)
- No car or driving required
