Full-Time Housekeeper job (M/F) in Paris 17th, France
Job description
A family is seeking an experienced Housekeeper to oversee the full management and upkeep of a high-end apartment of approximately 250 m², located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. This is a live-out position.
While the role is primarily focused on housekeeping, strong experience with young children is essential due to the family composition. A key aspect of this role involves working closely with high-value possessions.
The ideal candidate must have excellent knowledge of materials, surfaces, and valuable objects, as well as the products and methods required to maintain them, ensuring their preservation and longevity. Proven experience in luxury environments is therefore indispensable.
Responsibilities
- Impeccable upkeep of the residence, in line with high-end standards.
- Management and care of luxury clothing: deep understanding of delicate textiles, high-end cleaning and ironing procedures, as well as wardrobe management (organization, seasonal rotation, monitoring, and care of garments).
- Preparation and organization of family meals, focusing on light and healthy cuisine, strictly following hygiene rules (e.g., hand-washing after handling raw meat or fish). Knowledge of kosher cooking is considered an advantage.
- General coordination of household operations with strong anticipation, organization, autonomy, and absolute discretion.
Although primarily a housekeeping role, the housekeeper should be comfortable caring for children. The family has two young children: a 2-year-old girl and a few-months-old baby. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring domestic safety suitable for young children.
- Providing reassuring and attentive presence when needed.
- Assisting with daily routines (supervision, meals, quiet time, naps, walks, play).
- Strict adherence to parental instructions and family routines.
- Demonstrating a patient, professional, and caring approach appropriate for very young children.
- English language skills are required to communicate with the children.
Requirements
- Vigilance with regard to domestic safety, adapted to the presence of young children.
- A reassuring and attentive presence with the children when necessary.
- Participation in daily routines (supervision, meals, quiet time, naps, walks, games).
- Strict compliance with parental instructions and family habits.
- A caring, patient and professional attitude, suitable for very young children.
- English language proficiency is required to speak to children.
Work conditions
- External position (live-out)
- Hourly volume:
- for the full-time position 48 hours per week (10am-1pm and 2pm-8pm Monday to Friday, 9am-12pm Saturday)
- Babysitting on request on weekday evenings.
- Days worked: Monday to Saturday
