Job description
A private Ukrainian/Egyptian family based in Marina Residence, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai is seeking an experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented Live-in Housekeeper to manage the daily upkeep of their three-storey, three-bedroom townhouse.
The property consists of a master bedroom, children's bedroom, guest bedroom, living room, kitchen, balcony, maid's room, and storage room.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the home, including deep cleaning, laundry, ironing, and general housekeeping duties.
The candidate will also be expected to prepare simple meals when required by following recipes, assist with serving the family and guests when needed, and provide basic care for the family's small bulldog.
The Housekeeper will work alongside a live-in Nanny who will be responsible for caring for the family's newborn child.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, flexible, trustworthy, serviceoriented, and capable of maintaining high housekeeping standards in a private household.
Responsibilities
- Housekeeping: Perform daily housekeeping duties, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and presentation of the residence.
- Deep Cleaning: Carry out regular deep cleaning of all areas of the home, ensuring a consistently high standard of hygiene.
- Laundry & Ironing: Manage all laundry, ironing, folding, wardrobe organization, and garment care.
- Home Organization: Keep all living areas, bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, balcony, maid's room, and storage areas tidy, organized, and well maintained.
- Cooking: Prepare simple meals when required by following recipes. Daily cooking is not expected.
- Guest Service: Assist with serving meals, refreshments, and beverages to the family and their guests when required. Ensure guests are welcomed professionally and that dining and entertaining areas are kept clean, organized, and presentable.
- Pet Care: Provide basic care for the family's small bulldog, including feeding, ensuring fresh water is available, and taking the dog for two walks per day, while maintaining the pet's overall well-being.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the family's live-in Nanny to ensure the household operates smoothly while maintaining professional boundaries and responsibilities.
- Discretion & Professionalism: Maintain complete confidentiality, professionalism, and respect for the family's privacy at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Housekeeper in a private household.
- Excellent housekeeping, laundry, ironing, and organizational skills.
- Able to prepare simple meals by accurately following recipes.
- Previous experience in serving meals and attending to guests in a private household.
- Comfortable caring for a small dog, including daily walks.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, trustworthy, proactive, and service-oriented.
- Flexible with working hours when required.
- Able to work independently and as part of a household team.
- Fluent in English
Work conditions
- Live-in position.
- Shared accommodation with the family's Nanny, with an attached bathroom.
- Starting date: 1 September.
- Meals provided.
- 9–10 working hours per day, with flexibility required when necessary.
- 1 day off per week.
- UAE Employment Visa provided.
- Medical insurance provided.
- Annual return flight ticket provided in accordance with UAE Labour Law.
