Job description
A formal, private estate located on East 63rd Street is seeking a meticulous and highly experienced Professional Housekeeper to maintain a high-level residence to museum standards.
This role requires a candidate who is self-motivated, tech-savvy enough to manage household logistics, and capable of providing seamless service in a high-expectation environment.
While the family is open to live-in or live-out arrangements, there is a strong preference for a local New York City resident who is familiar with the nuances of city estate management.
Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Cleaning: Execute deep and maintenance cleaning of all interior spaces, including care for fine finishes, antiques, and high-end surfaces (marble, silk wallpaper, hardwood).
- Wardrobe & Linen Care: Expert-level laundry services including delicate garment care, hand-washing, steaming, and precise ironing/pressing of linens and couture clothing.
- Organization: Maintain a high level of order in closets, pantries, and storage areas. Seasonal rotation of wardrobes and inventory management.
- Deliveries & Logistics: Acting as the point of person for all household deliveries, packages, and floral arrangements; ensuring items are unpacked and placed correctly.
- Multi-Property Support: The family maintains additional residences in Chicago and Miami. The candidate must be travel-ready to assist with seasonal transitions or deep-cleaning projects at these locations as needed.
Requirements
- Longevity: Minimum of 6 years of experience with your most recent employer. We are seeking a dedicated professional with a proven track record of stability; "job jumpers" will not be considered.
- Discretion: Absolute commitment to confidentiality and privacy (NDA required).
- Professionalism: A service-oriented mindset with the ability to remain "invisible" yet highly effective within the home.
- Travel: Valid passport and willingness to travel to Chicago and Miami residences.
