Housekeeper job (M/F) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Job description
A warm, family-oriented household of five (husband, wife, and three children) is looking for an experienced, Housekeeper to help care for their recently renovated 5-bedroom villa in Dubai Hills.
The family has lived in Dubai for 16 years and is looking for someone who will settle in for the long term and feel like part of the household.
Responsibilities
- Daily cleaning of all living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms (5 bedrooms, multiple bathrooms)
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and general tidying throughout the villa
- Special care of newly renovated finishes, flooring, and surfaces to keep them in top condition
- Making beds daily and changing linens on a regular schedule
- Keeping communal areas (living rooms, dining area, kitchen) clean and presentable at all times
- Cleaning windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces as needed
- Deep cleaning tasks on a rotating basis (e.g., wardrobes, cupboards, appliances)
- Keeping bedrooms, closets, and storage areas tidy and well organised
- Managing household supplies- tracking and flagging when cleaning products or essentials need restocking
- Organising children's rooms and belongings, particularly for the twins
- Helping maintain an organised, clutter-free home environment across all rooms
- Washing, drying, ironing, and folding laundry for all family members
- Sorting and caring for delicate or special-care garments appropriately
- Managing bed linens, towels, and household textiles on a regular rotation
- Putting away laundry in the correct rooms/wardrobes
- Preparing basic meals and snacks - pasta dishes, air fryer meats, simple everyday cooking
- Chopping, prepping, and organising ingredients for meals
- Preparing snacks and meals for the children as needed
- Keeping the kitchen clean and organised after food prep and meals
Requirements
- Previous experience as a housekeeper in a private household
- Comfortable with basic cooking and food prep
- Fluent English required;
- Of an age and energy level suited to an active household
- Happy, kind, and welcoming personality - someone who will feel at home with the family
- Open to a long-term commitment
Work conditions
- Live-in role with a private bedroom and bathroom
- Working hours: 6 days a week, 10–12 hours a day
- Visa and medical insurance provided
- No pets in the household
- Start date: End of August
