Job description
A warm international family is seeking an experienced and professional Live-In Housekeeper to maintain their private villa in Jumeirah 1, Dubai, to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization.
The family consists of a Canadian-Greek wife, a Swiss husband, and one child who spends part of the week at the residence.
The property is a four-bedroom villa with five bathrooms and a downstairs office. One bedroom is primarily used for storage and laundry, while the remaining rooms include the master bedroom, guest bedroom, and child’s bedroom. Separate private staff accommodation is provided adjacent to the main house.
The successful candidate should be trustworthy, loyal, discreet, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
The family travels frequently and spends approximately two to three months each summer in Geneva, Switzerland, so the candidate must be willing and able to travel internationally with the family when required.
This position is ideal for someone professional yet personable, flexible, and experienced in private household environments.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the daily cleanliness, tidiness, and organization of all areas of the villa to a
consistently high standard. - Perform detailed cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, office areas, and common
spaces. - Handle laundry, ironing, linen care, and wardrobe organization.
- Maintain household supplies and ensure cleaning and household products are properly
stocked and organized. - Prepare the residence before and after the family’s travel periods.
- Carry out deep-cleaning tasks as required and maintain excellent hygiene standards
throughout the property. - Assist with simple breakfast preparation and light cooking when required.
- Work independently and efficiently while respecting the family’s privacy, preferences, and
routines. - Ensure the residence is always clean, organized, and guest-ready.
- Travel internationally with the family, including to Geneva, Switzerland, during the
summer season when required. - Carry out other reasonable household duties as requested by the family.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in private households, luxury residences, or similar highstandard environments.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent housekeeping skills.
- Trustworthy, discreet, loyal, and professional character.
- Flexible, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Pleasant, personable, and social personality with a positive attitude.
- Good English communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally with the family.
- Basic cooking skills are an advantage.
- Candidates already based in the UAE are preferred.
- Available to start as soon as possible.
Work conditions
- Position: Live-In Housekeeper
- Location: Private Villa, Jumeirah 1, Dubai
- Travel: Geneva, Switzerland during the summer months, when required
- Accommodation: Separate private staff accommodation adjacent to the main house
- Schedule: 6 days per week, with 1 day off

Paid Trial & Visa Arrangement
The family will offer a paid trial period of up to two weeks to ensure that the candidate is a
suitable fit for the household and that both the family and candidate are comfortable with the
working arrangement.
If required, the family is willing to extend the candidate’s visa during the trial period to allow
sufficient time to assess the candidate’s suitability before proceeding with the family-sponsored
UAE visa.
