Housekeeper job (M/F) in Rueil-Malmaison, France
Job description
Our clients are looking for an experienced and dynamic Housekeeper (M/F).
This person will be responsible for the general upkeep of a beautiful 300 m² property and its 40 m² outbuilding — Mr's private office — as well as full linen management.
The household consists of 2 adults. Two teenage children will be present approximately 15 days per month. There are also two clean and very friendly dogs.
This role is suited to someone looking to make a long-term commitment within a warm and welcoming household. Permanent contract (CDI).
The position will begin on a part-time basis — a transition to full-time may be offered by the family, subject to the right profile and the quality of the relationship
Responsibilities
Property Upkeep
- Thorough and detailed cleaning of the house and outbuilding: floors, surfaces, objects, furniture, vacuuming, dusting
- Cleaning of bathrooms and toilets
- Cleaning and organisation of the kitchen
- Window cleaning
- Tidying bedrooms, changing bed linen and bath towels
- Careful maintenance of silverware and porcelain
- Regular upkeep of the balcony
- Neat organisation of wardrobes and dressing rooms
- Immediate reporting of any malfunction or anomaly to the employer
Linen Management
- Washing, careful ironing and storing of laundry
- Knowledge of delicate fabrics and high-end garments — handled with the utmost care
Pet Care
- Occasional care of the dogs: feeding and walking
Day-to-Day Logistics
- Running errands as needed (grocery top-ups, dry-cleaning, etc.)
- Stock management
- Ideally, ability to drive family members to and from the airport or train station (not mandatory but appreciated)
Requirements
We are looking for a rigorous, autonomous and trustworthy professional; someone who embodies excellence in private household service.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar environment or in luxury hospitality
- Keen eye for detail, thoroughness and precision in all circumstances
- Autonomy, versatility and excellent organisational skills
- Absolute discretion and strict respect for confidentiality
- Attitude of excellence: impeccable know-how and conduct
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Attentive, respectful of the employer's instructions and routines
- Immaculate personal presentation: attire, hair, nails, shoes
- Verifiable professional references required
- Driving licence appreciated — not an essential requirement, but may allow the candidate, if trust and affinity with the family develop naturally, to occasionally drive family members to the airport or train station. Nothing imposed — it will depend entirely on the relationship that develops.
Work conditions
- Location: Rueil-Malmaison (92500)
- Contract: Permanent (CDI)
- Hours: Part-time to start (20 hours/week) – may evolve to full-time depending on profile and relationship with the family
- Days: Monday to Friday – hours to be defined
- Start Date: From July 2026
- Probationary Period: 1 month, renewable
