Job description

A welcoming family based in South Miami is seeking an experienced full-time Housekeeper to maintain their beautiful private residence.

The family home is a large, well-designed property with high-end finishes, furnishings, and artwork, requiring a candidate who takes great pride in maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and organization.

The household is composed of a professional couple and their two school-aged children. Both parents work from home for much of the year, so the candidate must be comfortable working in a busy yet respectful environment where discretion and professionalism are highly valued.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in caring for luxury residences. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys maintaining a structured home environment and who can work independently while collaborating with other household staff when required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the home to exceptional standards of cleanliness and organization on a daily basis. Perform all general housekeeping duties including making beds, tidying bedrooms and living spaces, and maintaining bathrooms and kitchen areas.
  • Care for delicate surfaces, furniture, and design elements within the home, ensuring that appropriate cleaning methods are used to protect high-end materials and finishes.
  • Manage the household laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and light ironing for the family. Oversee closet organization and assist with unpacking clothing when needed.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness by clearing dishes, loading and unloading the dishwasher, organizing kitchen cabinets and refrigerators, and monitoring food expiration dates.
  • Support the smooth operation of the household by managing cleaning supplies, placing online orders for household products when necessary, and maintaining organized storage areas such as the pantry and utility spaces.
  • Assist with light errands including grocery shopping and coordinating dry cleaning when required.
  • Identify maintenance or repair issues within the home and report them to the employers or relevant staff members.
  • Assist with preparing the home for visitors and guests, including refreshing guest rooms and helping with basic hosting tasks such as preparing refreshments.
  • Support occasional events or family gatherings by assisting with preparation and coordinating with external service providers when needed.
  • Ensure the home remains secure and well-managed during regular working hours, including receiving deliveries and permitting access to scheduled service providers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience working as a housekeeper in a private residence.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining high-end homes with luxury furnishings and delicate finishes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively manage household tasks.
  • Fluent English communication skills are required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities within the household.
  • Professional demeanor with a personable and respectful attitude toward family members and guests.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to commute easily to the Pinecrest / South Miami area.

Work conditions

  • Position: Housekeeper
  • Location: Pinecrest, Florida
  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (approximately 40 hours per week)
