Job description
We are looking for an All-round Housekeeper/Caretaker for our client’s second home in Fontainebleau (Seine-et-Marne, 77). The role covers interior upkeep, preparing meals when the employer is in residence, and caretaking of the property.
The owners are in residence 3 days a week.
Start date: as soon as possible. Permanent contract (CDI), 25 hours per week. Staff accommodation provided.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out housekeeping duties (cleaning, dusting, polishing…)
- Laundry: sorting, washing, ironing and putting away
- Stock management (cleaning products, food and other supplies)
- Grocery shopping and other errands
- Preparing meals when the employer is in residence
- Setting the table and informal table service
- Welcoming external contractors
- Receiving deliveries and parcels
- Keeping an eye on the equipment and reporting any faults
- Security and caretaking of the property
- Managing expenses and reporting to the employer
Requirements
- At least 3 years’ proven experience with private families
- An independent, energetic and versatile person
- A sense of service and flexibility
- A love of cooking
- Good interpersonal skills
- Driving licence a plus
- French speaker
- Complete discretion towards the employer
