Full-Time Housekeeper job (M/F) in Dallas, Texas, US
Job description
Our returning client is seeking an experienced Live-in Housekeeper for their primary residence in Dallas, Texas, with seasonal travel to Nantucket during the summer months (approximately four months per year).
This is an excellent long-term opportunity to work in a warm, family-oriented household with three children (the youngest aged 14). The position focuses on ensuring the residence is maintained to an impeccable standard and operates smoothly on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the overall cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the 5,500 sq. ft. residence.
- Carry out all general and detailed cleaning tasks, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas.
- Handle laundry and ironing of clothing, linens, and household textiles.
- Provide occasional meal preparation, such as simple family breakfasts or dinners for the children.
- Manage household supplies, monitor inventories, and handle small household purchases or errands.
- Conduct deep-cleaning tasks on a regular basis (e.g., kitchen appliances, grill, silver polishing).
- Assist with the care of a small, friendly dog.
- Coordinate closely with the principal to support the family’s routines and household standards.
Requirements
- Positive, reliable, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of service.
- Professional, discreet, and well-presented, with a warm and approachable personality.
- Experienced in high-standard private households, including ironing and fine garment care.
- Proactive and organized, able to manage household tasks independently.
- Comfortable in a health-conscious, smoke-free home and around pets.
- Fluent in Spanish or English (required).
- Holds U.S. work authorization; a valid driver’s license is preferred.
Work conditions
- Start date: As soon as possible.
- Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week, generally 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, with Sundays and Mondays off.
- Flexibility: Required during travel periods and key holidays (e.g., Thanksgiving, Fourth of July, Easter), with compensatory time off provided.
- Travel: Between Dallas and Nantucket; all travel expenses and meals are covered.
- Accommodation: Private, well-appointed living quarters in both residences, including a bedroom, full bath, and sitting area with a TV.
- Vacation: Three weeks of paid leave (preferably in August), plus ten days during Christmas.
- Contract type: Full-time, permanent position.
