Job description
Morgan & Mallet International is seeking, on behalf of a private family, an experienced Housekeeper for the upkeep of their home.
Position Context
After several unsuccessful experiences with cleaning staff lacking rigour and know-how, the family now wishes to bring on board a genuine professional, capable of taking charge of both daily and deep household cleaning, laundry management, and animal care with, in addition, the possibility of occasional childcare and meal preparation.
Genuine ease with animals is essential: the household includes rabbits, cats, and dogs.
Responsibilities
- Carry out daily and deep cleaning of the entire residence
- Manage all laundry: washing and upkeep of household linens and clothing
- Ensure daily upkeep of litter boxes and living spaces for the animals (rabbits, cats, and dogs)
- Maintain a clean, hygienic environment suited to the presence of animals
- Provide occasional childcare when needed
- Prepare simple meals for the family as needed
- Manage stock of cleaning products and pet supplies, and flag restocking needs
- Maintain organization and tidiness of the home's storage spaces
- Promptly report any maintenance or upkeep issues to the family
- Exercise complete discretion regarding the family's private life and household matters
Requirements
- Proven experience as a housekeeper or house manager, ideally within a private household
- Genuine ease with animals, including large dogs, cats, and rabbits
- Attention to detail and high personal standards for cleanliness
- Childcare experience highly valued
- Basic cooking skills a plus
- Reliable, discreet, and trustworthy
- Strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently
Work conditions
- Contract Type: Permanent contract (CDI), full-time – 35 hrs/week
- Accommodation: Live-out position
- Location: Comines, France
- Start Date: Early September
