Full-Time Housekeeper job (M/F) in Bucharest, Romania
Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced and trustworthy Housekeeper to manage the daily upkeep of their beautiful estate located in Bucharest, Romania and assist with a newborn.
The property consists of two houses within the same estate — a newly built 300 m² residence and an existing 600 m² family home occupied by the principal’s parents and brother.
Both homes are permanently occupied, and the family is looking for a long-term, reliable candidate to ensure that the properties are maintained to a high standard throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the principal’s 300 m² residence to an immaculate standard.
- Perform cleaning, dusting, polishing, and care of fine surfaces and materials.
- Manage laundry and ironing, including delicate garments and bed linens.
- Oversee wardrobe management and organization.
- Occasional babysitting for a newborn as required.
- Prepare breakfast for the principals.
- Occasionally assist with housekeeping at the parents’ 600 m² residence (on an occasional basis only).
- Assist with guest preparation and occasional family gatherings.
- Manage household supplies and report maintenance or repair needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a housekeeper in a private household.
- Experience working in households with young children.
- Fluent in Romanian or English (both an advantage).
- Practical, flexible, and self-sufficient.
- Discreet, trustworthy, and well-mannered.
- Pet-friendly — the family has three small dogs (only candidates with a female dog or an indoor cat can be accepted).
Work conditions
Accommodation
- A fully furnished private apartment with bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette.
- Separate entrance and all utilities included (Wi-Fi, electricity, water, heating).
Schedule
- 5 days per week, 40–45 hours per week.
- Flexibility required during family visits or special occasions.
