Job description

We are seeking a mature, highly organised, and professional Housekeeper for a private family residence in Al Manara, Dubai.

The position is for a private household occupied by four adults. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day housekeeping, organisation, and upkeep of the residence.

The family is looking for someone who is more than a traditional housekeeper a proactive and responsible individual who can take initiative, monitor household supplies, coordinate deliveries and workers, and act as a reliable point of contact for day-to-day household matters.

About the Home

The residence is a private villa consisting of:

    • 2 bedrooms
    • Dressing/closet room
    • Studio
    • Office
    • Additional rooms and household areas
    • 7 bathrooms

 

  • The household does not have any pets.
  • There are no children permanently living in the residence, although nieces and nephews may visit occasionally.
  • The family does not require cooking, as a separate Private Chef will be employed.

Responsibilities

  • Daily housekeeping and maintenance cleaning of assigned areas.
  • Maintaining cleanliness, order, and presentation of the residence at all times.
  • Regularly checking and maintaining less frequently used rooms and areas.
  • Organising cupboards, storage areas, household items, and supplies.
  • Monitoring household stock and creating replenishment lists.
  • Checking expiry dates of food, beverages, and household products.
  • Labelling and organising items appropriately.
  • Receiving and managing household deliveries.
  • Coordinating with maintenance workers, technicians, and other service providers when
    they are working at the property.
  • Providing updates to the family through WhatsApp regarding deliveries, maintenance,
    supplies, and other household matters.
  • Assisting with basic preparation for guests, including arranging plates, setting up areas,
    and preparing drinks and teas.
  • Learning the family's preferred teas and beverages.
  • Taking initiative in identifying household requirements and keeping the family informed.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and discretion regarding the family and residence.
  • Supporting the smooth and organised running of the household.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Housekeeper, Household Assistant, Private Housekeeper, Butler,
    or similar position.
  • Mature, responsible, trustworthy, and highly organised personality.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Proactive and able to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable using WhatsApp for household communication and updates.
  • Able to communicate professionally with delivery personnel, technicians, and service
    providers.
  • Flexible and adaptable to the family's changing daily schedule.
  • Professional appearance and manner.
  • Strong understanding of privacy, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • No cooking required.
  • Childcare is not a primary responsibility.
  • The family has a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding theft or unauthorised taking
    of any household belongings or money.
  • No photography or recording is permitted outside the employee's private room, in
    order to protect the family's privacy and confidentiality.

Work conditions

  • Position: Full-time, live-in preferred; live-out may be considered
  • Accommodation: Private accommodation with attached bathroom provided for live-in
    candidates
  • Working Days: 6 days per week, 1 day off
  • Working Hours: Flexible, generally starting around 9:00 AM, with the schedule adjusted
    according to the family's routine and requirements
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Visa sponsorship, medical insurance, and annual flight ticket provided
  • Interview: In-person interview required
  • Trial Period: Approximately 3 days, depending on the candidate's current employment and
    availability

Salary

Up to AED 3,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.
