Job description
A private household based in Al Barari, Dubai, UAE, is seeking an experienced, reliable, and
highly professional Live-in Housekeeper / Maid to join their household.
The residence consists of five bedrooms and six bathrooms, and the successful candidate will be
responsible for maintaining the property to a consistently high standard of cleanliness, organisation,
and presentation.
The household also has two cats, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable
working in a home with pets.
The household is looking for a Housekeeper who is highly attentive to detail, well-organised, proactive, trustworthy, and capable of working independently.
The ideal candidate should have previous private household experience and understand the importance of discretion, professionalism, and maintaining a clean and well-presented home.
The successful candidate will work 8 hours per day, 6 days per week, with 1 day off. The position
is live-in, and the Housekeeper will have her own private bedroom within the residence.
Responsibilities
- General Housekeeping: Maintain the residence to a high standard of cleanliness,
organisation, and presentation. - Cleaning & Tidying: Carry out daily cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming,
mopping, bathroom cleaning, bedroom preparation, and maintaining all living areas. - Bedroom & Bathroom Care: Ensure all bedrooms and bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned,
organised, and properly maintained. - Laundry & Ironing: Manage laundry, ironing, folding, and the proper care of household
clothing, linens, and fabrics. - Household Organisation: Ensure household items, supplies, and personal areas are
properly organised and maintained. - Kitchen Cleaning: Maintain the kitchen to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene,
working alongside the family's chef. - Pet-Friendly Environment: Help maintain a clean and comfortable environment for the
household's two cats and be comfortable working around pets. - Household Supplies: Monitor household cleaning and general supplies and inform the
employer when items need to be replenished. - Proactive Service: Anticipate household needs and complete tasks independently without
requiring constant supervision or instructions. - Discretion & Professionalism: Maintain complete confidentiality, discretion,
professionalism, and respect for the household's privacy at all times.
Requirements
- Strong experience working in private residences or high-standard household environments.
- Excellent knowledge of professional housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, ironing, and
household organisation. - High attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistently high standards.
- Highly organised, proactive, practical, and able to identify and complete tasks
independently. - Reliable, hardworking, discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of the employer's privacy.
- Comfortable working in a household with two cats.
- Well-presented and professional at all times.
- Good communication skills and a positive, cooperative attitude.
- Good and verifiable references from previous employers are required.
