Job description

We are looking for a Housekeeper/House Manager to oversee the general upkeep and household management of a privately owned luxury chalet in Megève, Haute-Savoie.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-end hospitality. The position is available immediately on a full-time, permanent basis. No staff accommodation is provided.

Responsibilities

Carry out full housekeeping duties, including cleaning, dusting, polishing, and waxing.
Manage all laundry care: washing, ironing, folding, and wardrobe organisation.
Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of cleaning products and household supplies.
Ensure the chalet is always presented to a high standard, with all areas well maintained.
Check that all equipment is in proper working order and respond promptly to any technical issues.
Welcome and coordinate external service providers and contractors.
Receive deliveries and manage parcels efficiently.
Handle errands such as dry cleaning, pharmacy runs, and other household-related tasks.
Attend to guests’ needs and ensure a high-quality, seamless stay experience.
Provide regular updates and reports to the employer.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in luxury hospitality or high-end chalet management.
Versatile, self-motivated, and highly organised.
Strong sense of service with a genuine five-star hospitality mindset.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proactive attitude with the ability to anticipate needs.
Experienced in caring for fine materials such as marble and brass.
High level of discretion and respect for confidentiality.
Flexible and adaptable, particularly during periods when the employer is in residence.
Fluency in French and English is a plus.
Valid driving licence required.
