Job description
We are seeking an experienced House Manager to oversee the overall running of a high-end private residence in Cannes.
The role involves the comprehensive management of the household, its upkeep, and, where applicable, the on-site staff.
A strong sense of discretion, excellent organisational skills, and complete reliability are essential. Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- General oversight of the smooth running of the house (maintenance, upkeep, security)
- Coordination and supervision of household staff where applicable (housekeeper, gardener, ad hoc contractors)
- Management of external suppliers, tradespeople, and service providers (quotes, follow-up on works, quality control)
- Management of stock and orders (cleaning products, consumables, everyday shopping)
- Logistical organisation for private receptions or events
- Oversight of the house's maintenance schedule (technical equipment, pool, garden, vehicles where applicable)
- Welcoming and coordinating with service providers in the owner's absence
- Day-to-day administrative management related to the house (invoices, service contracts, schedules)
- Strict respect for the employer's confidentiality and privacy.
Requirements
- Proven experience in private house management, ideally in a high-end environment
- Excellent organisational and priority-management skills
- Confident coordinating teams and service providers
- Absolute discretion and strong professionalism
- Category B driving licence essential
- Well-presented
- Fluent French; English an asset (international clientele)
- Verifiable references required
- Availability, flexibility, and a strong sense of responsibility
Work conditions
- Contract: Permanent (CDI), full-time, 35 hours/week
- Accommodation: Live-out position
- Location: Cannes
