Job description

An Emirati private client based in Ajman, UAE is seeking a highly experienced and professional House Manager to oversee the full operation of the Main House in Ajman and the Family Farm House in Umm Al Quwain on a long-term basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring both properties are maintained to the highest standards of luxury, cleanliness, organization, and efficiency, while supervising household staff and coordinating all daily operations across the estate.

This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience managing private luxury residences, capable of maintaining seamless service, operational excellence, and a well-structured household environment.

Responsibilities

Property Operations & Maintenance

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Main House in Ajman and the Family Farm House in Umm Al Quwain, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning at all times.
  • Ensure all indoor and outdoor areas are maintained to luxury standards and always ready for family use and guests.
  • Conduct regular inspections and promptly resolve operational issues.

 

Staff Management

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate approximately 10 household staff members.
  • Prepare staff schedules (daily, weekly, and monthly).
  • Monitor staff performance, uniforms, discipline, and service standards.
  • Conduct regular meetings to ensure coordination and professionalism within the team

 

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventories for food and beverages, cleaning supplies, kitchen
    equipment, linens, towels, household supplies, pet supplies, horse feed, and storage areas.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and ensure timely replenishment using proper inventory
    control systems.

 

Housekeeping & Laundry

  • Oversee housekeeping across all bedrooms, majlis, kitchens, bathrooms, and common areas.
  • Supervise laundry operations, including linens, towels, bedding, and uniforms.
  • Ensure continuous high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.

 

Kitchen & Food Coordination

  • Coordinate with chefs on menus, purchasing, and kitchen operations.
  • Monitor food quality, hygiene, storage, and inventory.
  • Support cost control and waste reduction initiatives.

 

Maintenance & Facilities

  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs for both properties.
  • Supervise contractors and service providers.
  • Ensure all systems, equipment, and facilities are fully operational.
  • Oversee maintenance of swimming pools, gym, cinema room, tennis court, and recreational areas.

 

Vehicle & Driver Management

  • Supervise two full-time drivers.
  • Prepare transportation schedules according to family needs.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, maintained, insured, and ready for daily use.
  • Monitor servicing, registrations, fuel logs, and maintenance records.

 

Guest & Event Coordination

  • Prepare properties for family gatherings and guests.
  • Coordinate housekeeping, catering, and event logistics.
  • Ensure guest rooms and entertainment areas are fully prepared.

 

Administration

  • Maintain records of expenses, inventories, maintenance schedules, and service contracts.
  • Prepare monthly operational reports for the homeowner.
  • Organize household documents, warranties, and manuals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a luxury private residence or estate.
  • Strong leadership and household staff management experience.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Experience in budgeting, procurement, inventory control, and facility management.
  • Ability to manage multiple properties and diverse teams.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
  • Any nationality welcome.

Work conditions

  • Live-out position (private studio accommodation provided outside the villa).
  • Six days per week with flexibility based on family requirements. Availability for emergencies, weekends, holidays, and special events when necessary.
  • Working hours: 9 hours per day.
  • Based in Ajman (Main House) with regular coordination and visits to the Family Farm House in Umm Al Quwain.
  • UAE employment visa, Medical insurance, Annual paid leave provided
