Home Chef/Private Chef job (M/F) in Ajman, UAE
Job description
An Emirati private client based in Ajman, UAE is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Home Chef / Private Chef to join their household on a long-term basis.
The primary responsibility will be the daily preparation of high-quality, nutritious meals for the family, household staff, and guests, while ensuring excellent standards of hygiene, kitchen organization, and food safety at all times.
This role is best suited for a professional chef who is confident working independently in a private household environment and is committed to delivering consistent, healthy, and well-balanced meals tailored to family preferences and dietary requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare daily breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for a family of 2, with occasional meals
for extended family during visits and gatherings. - Prepare balanced meals for household staff according to the approved schedule.
- Plan weekly menus based on family preferences, dietary requirements (no pork, no alcohol), and healthy eating standards.
- Prepare meals for guests, family gatherings, and special occasions when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully sanitized kitchen at all times.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including pantry, refrigerator, and freezer, using FIFO method.
- Monitor expiry dates and ensure proper food storage and rotation.
- Manage grocery shopping, budgeting, and cost control for all kitchen supplies.
- Maintain records of purchases, receipts, and monthly kitchen expenses.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Work collaboratively with household driver when traveling between Ajman main residence and Umm Al Quwain farm
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Home Chef or Private Chef in a private household.
- Strong experience in Arabic, Emirati, International, and healthy cuisine.
- Proven ability in menu planning, inventory control, and kitchen budget management.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen organization.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple daily meal requirements.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient in time management.
- Professional, discreet, and respectful in a private household setting.
- Flexibility to work during weekends, events, and family gatherings when required.
- Preferably male candidate.
- Strong understanding of dietary restrictions (no pork, no alcohol).
Work conditions
- Live-in position with private studio accommodation provided (separate unit).
- 6 working days per week, 1 day off (flexibility required for events and gatherings, with compensatory day off provided).
- Based mainly in Ajman with regular travel to family farm in Umm Al Quwain.
- Start date: Immediate / As soon as possible.
- Work visa and medical insurance provided.
- Annual return flight ticket provided.
