Co-founders Laurine Mallet and Morgan Richez worked as household staff themselves in exclusive London households, Laurine as a nanny and Morgan as a chauffeur and executive butler. This showed them how broken traditional recruitment was.
Agencies often disappeared after placement, leaving candidates stranded. Vetting was rushed and impersonal, creating bad matches. Wealthy families lived globally, but agencies operated locally.
So they built Morgan & Mallet, an international luxury household staffing agency
The co-founders insisted on thorough, personal vetting for every candidate. Placements come with a three-month guarantee and check-ins every ten days.
The agency advises on labor laws, fair pay, and contracts, not just recruitment.
“I’d have to say it was when I had coffee with a Formula One driver on his private yacht.
It’s one of those moments that really shows what this job can be like, especially working around Monaco and the South of France. You’re not just filling positions from behind a desk. You’re actually meeting clients in their world, which gives you insight you just can’t get any other way.”
We had an exceptional experience with Morgan & Mallet! As professionals exploring new opportunities, we were impressed by the level of expertise and care their team provided. From the moment we connected with them, their professionalism and dedication stood out.
Recruiter was very flexible when I changed my interview date few times, asked me open and clear questions and allowed me enough time to answer them , very comfortable and Pleasant experience. Hopefully will hear good news about this position!
Five‑Star Experience with Morgan & Mallet
I recently had the pleasure of interviewing with Morgan & Mallet for a Personal Assistant Caregiver role, and I couldn’t be more impressed.

You must register your employee for Swiss social security (AHV/AVS) once they earn more than CHF 2,500 a year from you. Registration goes through your cantonal compensation office.
What you take on:
• AHV/AVS, unemployment and family-allowance contributions, split between you and your employee at roughly 10 to 15% each.
• Accident insurance (UVG/LAA), required from eight hours a week.
• Occupational pension (BVG/LPP) once annual pay passes the entry threshold.
• The standard employment contract for domestic work (NAV Hauswirtschaft, or contrat-type de travail) sets minimum wages and notice periods nationally, and several cantons set their own on top.
• In Geneva the cantonal minimum wage of CHF 24.59 gross per hour applies from January 2026, the highest in Switzerland, and it overrides the federal floor.
Morgan & Mallet handles registration, payslips, contributions and compliance on one monthly invoice. Useful if you are new to employing staff in Switzerland.
General information only, not legal advice. Official guidance: AHV/AVS, SECO and the Canton of Geneva.
1. Unclear roles
No written list of tasks leads to arguments over hours and duties.
2. Poor communication
Language gaps or no check-ins spark bigger fights.
3. Legal slip-ups
Treating staff as freelancers skips must-do registrations.
Morgan & Mallet fixes this with clear contracts and regular follow-ups.
Switzerland has no public blacklist for household staff, so verification comes down to records and reference calls.
What we check:
• The candidate’s criminal record extract (Strafregisterauszug, or extrait du casier judiciaire), which they request and release themselves.
• Records in their country of residence, which for cross-border staff on a G permit is often France.
• Direct calls with at least three former employers, not written references alone.
Morgan & Mallet runs all three before any profile reaches you.
It depends on nationality. EU and EFTA nationals have freedom of movement and are straightforward to hire. Everyone else needs a permit before they start work, and Swiss quotas for third-country nationals are tight.
• Permit B is the standard residence permit, renewed annually.
• Permit C is permanent residence.
• Permit L is short-term, used for seasonal chalet and villa roles.
• Permit G covers cross-border commuters, common for staff living in France and working in Geneva or Vaud.
Morgan & Mallet checks permit status and residence before a candidate is shortlisted, so you are not offered someone who cannot legally start.
