A property guardian couple is made up of two people who individually fulfill different domestic household tasks.
Property guardian couples are often responsible for all domestic tasks within a property, such as a second home or yacht, generally whilst the owner or landlord is away.
They carry out various household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and gardening, as well as chauffeuring and butlering when the family inhabits the property.
In larger and more traditional estates, a property guardian couple is usually charged with supervising and managing a team of household staff, in addition to overseeing the overall running of the property.
Their primary function in these cases is to ensure that the highest standards are maintained at all times and to the property-owner's specifications.
Property guardian couples may also be expected to travel with their employer, fulfilling the same functions regardless of location.

- Cleaner
- Laundress
- Chef
- Stocks supervisor
- Administrator (correspondence, supply management, accounts etc.)
A property guardian couple may also be required to take on other responsibilities dependent on their employer's specifications and number of staff employed at the property.
What accommodation should you expect as a Property Guardian Couple ?
In most cases the employer will offer accommodation. This generally consists of separate living quarters within the property.
In some cases, domestic couples may be asked to live outside the main property, but will be expected to make frequent visits.
All our property guardian couples are required to:
- Hold clean criminal records in both their country of employment and country of origin
- Present all certificates and qualifications from training centres and/or schools they attended
- Successfully pass two interview stages
- Provide at least three positive references from previous employers
- Complete professional dossiers containing: CV, cover letter, proof of identity (photocopy or scan), proof of address, proof of the right to work in the country of employment (if applicable), driving license and pay slips from previous professional placements. Candidates should be aware that other documentation may also be required.
