Travelling Caregivers job (M/F) in Paris, France
Job description
An octogenarian couple, residing primarily in Paris 16th and travelling regularly between their various residences (Switzerland, Corsica, New York), is seeking two mobile and experienced Travelling Caregivers (M/F) to join their trusted team.
This is not a rotation system: each of the two candidates will hold a full-time, independent, and permanent position, working as a pair. They will work closely together, in a supportive and complementary team dynamic.
The couple already has a Housekeeper and a Private Chef in place; the candidates will focus primarily on assisting and caring for the couple. Permanent contract (CDI) Full-time.
Responsibilities
Specific Assistance to Monsieur
- Help with getting up and going to bed, and preparing for the day
- Help with dressing and undressing
- Assistance with washing and showering
- Mobility assistance Monsieur uses a wheelchair
- Accompanying him on all indoor and outdoor movements
- Monitoring his daily state of health & providing moral support
Assistance to Madame
- Madame is more independent in her daily life
- Attentive presence and occasional assistance as needed
- Accompanying her to medical and personal appointments
- Moral support and daily companionship
Care & Medical Monitoring
- Administering medication and monitoring vital signs
- Rigorous monitoring of the couple's health keeping a detailed log
- Reporting any changes to the family and healthcare providers
- Coordinating medical appointments and outside carers when necessary
- Identifying and coordinating additional qualified carers if needed
Day-to-Day Assistance
- Helping serve meals
- Driving the couple to their medical and personal appointments
- Occasional errands and light housekeeping when the Housekeeper is not present
- Preparing simple meals when the Private Chef is not present
Travel & Life Across Residences
- Accompanying the couple on all their trips short or extended
- Residences visited: Paris 16th • Switzerland • Corsica • New York • Madagascar (occasional)
- The couple may stay two to three consecutive months in Switzerland or Corsica - candidates must be fully available and mobile during these periods
- Ongoing adaptation to last-minute changes in schedule and organisation
Requirements
- Valid European (EU) passport mandatory
- ESTA eligibility (US travel authorisation) essential criterion
- Category B driving licence mandatory
- Authorisation to work in France and Switzerland
- Minimum 5 years' experience working with elderly individuals in a demanding environment
- Free of any family obligations incompatible with frequent travel
