Job description

A loving, organized family in Cole Valley, San Francisco, is seeking an experienced, career-oriented Nanny to join their fully staffed household long-term.

This is a wonderful opportunity to become an integral part of a collaborative, professional team dedicated to providing exceptional care for three energetic and joyful children: a newborn, a smiley 1.5-year-old, and an engaging 9-year-old.

This role is ideal for a seasoned nanny who genuinely thrives caring for children across different developmental stages, enjoys a team environment, and takes pride in fostering a calm, well-structured home.

Responsibilities

  • Nurturing & Attentive Care: Provide engaged, age-appropriate care tailored to the individual developmental needs and schedules of all three children.
  • Routine Management: Maintain daily routines for the younger children, including feeding, nap times, bottle preparation, and outdoor park walks.
  • School & Activity Support: Safely manage school drop-offs, pick-ups, and activity transport for the 9-year-old.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children.
  • Team Hand-Offs & Communication: Maintain clear, proactive communication with the co-nanny to ensure smooth shift transitions, daily logging, and uninterrupted continuity of care.
  • Light Household Resetting: Support the household staff (including the housekeeper) by tidying toys, handling children’s laundry, running/unloading the dishwasher, and keeping child spaces organized.
  • Weekend & Travel Support: Assist parents during weekend family outings and activities. Participate in domestic and international family travel (including up to 10 weeks during the summer and during school breaks).

Requirements

  • We are looking for a warm, dependable professional who possesses the following credentials and traits:
  • Proven Longevity: Demonstrable track record as a career nanny, ideally featuring 2–3+ years of tenure with previous families.
  • Multi-Age & Infant Expertise: Extensive experience with newborn/infant care, alongside a strong comfort level supporting toddlers and school-aged children.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Excellent communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and a genuine enthusiasm for working alongside parents and co-nannies.
  • Proactive & Organized: Highly observant, self-motivated, and quick to notice and handle child-related tasks without prompting.
  • Safety & Driving Record: Uncompromising commitment to child safety; valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Travel-Ready: Willing and excited to travel internationally and domestically for extended periods (summer and school breaks).

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Compensation Package: Generous hourly rate/salary based on experience.
  • Supportive Work Environment: Clear communication, structured shift planning, and a respectful household dynamic.
  • Professional Appreciation: A long-term home where your childcare expertise is recognized, valued, and integrated into a collaborative team environment.

  • Location: Cole Valley, San Francisco, CA
  • Schedule: Full-time schedule, long-term / rotating schedule ROTA - 7 days on and 7 days off for two ROTA
