Job description

A HNW private principal residing in Miami is seeking an experienced, discreet, and highly adaptable Private Chauffeur to join an informal yet demanding private household.

The primary responsibility is driving the principal (and occasionally his wife) to daily appointments, social engagements, dining, athletic facilities, medical visits, and airport transfers.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional spatial awareness for maneuvering large vehicles, deep knowledge of South Florida traffic patterns and routes, and an adaptable, service-oriented attitude.

This role offers an ideal balance: during the approximately four months per year when the principal is out of residence, the chauffeur receives full guaranteed salary with light duties, off-set by high-availability periods when the principal is in residence.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Driving: Provide safe, smooth, and timely transportation for the principal and occasionally family members/guests across Miami and surrounding areas.
  • Vehicle Fleet Care: Responsible for the complete upkeep of the principal’s cars (a large
luxury SUV, and a 6+ passenger vehicle). Handle routine maintenance scheduling, fueling,
    detailing, and daily vehicle checks.
  • On-Call & Standby Duty: Remain on standby at the principal’s residence or designated location when the principal is in residence, ready to execute driving requests on short notice.
  • Household Coordination: Work seamlessly with the Personal Assistant (PA), House Manager, and household team to align on daily updates, scheduling shifts, and household logistics.
  • Light Personal Errands: Perform occasional personal errands such as dry cleaning pickups, grocery drops, or package handling as requested.
  • Domestic Travel: Occasional driving or travel within the US if requested (a couple of
    weeks per year).

Schedule & Working Hours

  • Principal in Residence (~8 Months/Year): Requires high flexibility and willingness to work long hours, late finishes, and up to 7 days a week when needed. Typical starts are later in the morning (usually 10:00 AM or later), with evening availability required. Overtime is paid for all hours worked over 40/week.
  • Principal Away (~4 Months/Year): Guaranteed year-round salary with minimal driving requirements during travel periods, allowing significant personal downtime while remaining available for basic errands or vehicle maintenance checks.

Requirements

  • Legal Work Authorization: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder authorized to
    work in the United States.
  • Miami Geographic Expertise: Master-level familiarity with Miami neighborhoods,
traffic flow, alternative routes, and major venues.
  • Large Vehicle Mastery: Proven experience operating and maneuvering large, wide
vehicles (full-sized SUVs, luxury Maybachs, passenger vans).
  • Attitude & Professionalism: Outstanding attitude, adaptable mindset, and high tolerance
for spontaneous, fluid scheduling without pre-planned daily itineraries.
  • Languages: Fluent English is required. Knowledge of Hebrew is a strong plus, though
    not required.
  • Background Check: Clear driving record (MVR check) and comprehensive background
screening required. Security / Executive Protection background is a plus.

Work conditions

  • Employment Type: W-2 Direct Hire, Permanent
  • Start Date: As Soon As Possible
  • Schedule: High-flexibility role based on principal’s residence (Longer hours when in residence;
minimal duties when principal is away)
  • Overtime: Paid at 1.5x the base rate for hours worked over 40 hours per week.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health benefits package, paid vacation, and annual performance
    discretionary bonus.
  • Guaranteed Year-Round Income: Stable income paid continuously throughout the year,
regardless of the principal's travel schedule

Salary

Competitive Base Salary ($100K - $120K per annum) + Overtime + Comprehensive Benefits Package
