Job description
Our client, a private VIP Emirati client based on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, is seeking an experienced, professional, and reliable Private Driver to provide safe, discreet, and efficient transportation services for the principal as required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the principal and other family members when required, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
The role will primarily focus on driving duties, although the candidate should be flexible and willing to assist with occasional personal errands, such as collecting groceries, documents, or other items, when requested.
The ideal candidate will have extensive UAE driving experience, excellent knowledge of Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE, and a professional attitude suitable for working closely with a VIP principal.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, reliable, and professional transportation for the principal and other family
members when required. - Drive the principal and family members to appointments, meetings, activities, and other
destinations as required. - Maintain excellent knowledge of Abu Dhabi, Yas Island, and UAE roads, routes, and
locations. - Ensure the vehicle is clean, presentable, and ready for use at all times.
- Carry out regular checks of the vehicle and coordinate servicing and maintenance when
required. - Collect and deliver groceries, documents, packages, and other items as requested.
- Assist with occasional personal errands when required.
- Follow the principal's and family's schedule and remain flexible regarding working hours.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion regarding the principal, family, and their
activities. - Observe all UAE traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and standard of service at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of professional driving experience in the UAE.
- Proven experience working as a private, VIP, or personal driver is highly desirable.
- Valid UAE driving licence.
- Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi, Yas Island, and UAE roads, routes, and locations.
- Good understanding of spoken English and the ability to clearly understand and follow
instructions. - Arabic language skills would be an advantage, but not mandatory.
- Professional, reliable, discreet, and trustworthy personality.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours and duties.
- Willingness to perform occasional errands when required.
- Candidates currently employed with a notice period of up to one month may be considered
if highly experienced and exceptional.
Work conditions
- Working Hours: Flexible and based on the principal's and family's schedule and
requirements. The driver should be comfortable working flexible hours and being available
as required. - Working Days: Full-time, 6 days per week, with 1 day off.
- Accommodation: Live-in. Accommodation will be provided outside the villa. The exact
accommodation arrangement and location are to be confirmed. - Primary Work Location: Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE
- Start Date: ASAP. Candidates who can start immediately are preferred. However, an exceptional and highly experienced candidate with a notice period of up to one month may be considered.
- Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a driving test/ oneday trial and an in-person interview with the client.
