Job description
An Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) family of five is seeking a talented, highly adaptable Personal Chef to manage daily meal preparation and support a dynamic household environment.
The household consists of two parents, two high school-aged daughters living at home, and one college-aged daughter who is away most of the time.
This role requires flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to anticipate and respond to evolving needs.
The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, health-focused meals while maintaining a welcoming and professional presence within the home.
Responsibilities
- Daily Meal Preparation:
- Packed lunches for high school children
- After-school snacks
- Dinner for the family
- Occasional lunches for family and guests
- Menu Planning & Sourcing:
- Plan and execute healthy, balanced meals focused on protein and vegetables.
- Accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences for family members and guests.
- Source high-quality, local, and organic ingredients whenever possible.
- Kitchen Management:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen.
Additional Responsibilities (As Needed):
- • Prepare meals for small gatherings, staff, or business-related events.
- • Support larger events or special occasions with elevated menu offerings.
- • Develop multi-course meals and tasting-style menus.
- • Prepare travel-friendly meals for family trips, college visits, or extended days.
Assist with planning and meal prep for changing schedules, varying household numbers, and locations.
Requirements
- Nutrition Expertise: Strong knowledge of health and sports-based nutrition, as well as specialty diets.
- Dietary Experience: Experience preparing meals aligned with specific dietary restrictions, including:
- Gluten-free cooking (celiac)
- Low purine diets
- General health-focused nutrition
- Operational Skills: Ability to consistently deliver high-quality meals within tight timelines.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple individuals and formats.
- Interpersonal Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor.
- Adaptability: Ability to take direction and respond effectively to family preferences and requests.
- Household Fit: Comfortable working in a highly interactive, family-oriented environment with teenagers and pets (dog present).
