Job description

Our client is seeking a reliable, discreet, and self-sufficient Domestic Couple to support the daily operations of a private farm estate.

This is a part-time, live-in position designed for a couple capable of independently managing both operational/ administrative oversight and hands-on property maintenance. The ideal candidates are proactive, organized, and solutions-oriented, with the ability to anticipate needs and manage responsibilities without close supervision.

The estate spans approximately 15 acres, and the principal resides on the property full-time. The couple will serve as trusted on-site support, ensuring the property functions smoothly and remains well-maintained.

Responsibilities

House Manager (Administrative / Operational Role)

  • Oversee the day-to-day organization and smooth operational flow of the household.
  • Ensure the housekeeper arrives as scheduled and supervise the completion of assigned tasks.
  • Provide clear guidance to the housekeeper regarding priorities, standards, and expectations.
  • Maintain household organization systems and overall presentation standards.
  • Liaise with vendors, service providers, and contractors as needed.
  • Schedule and coordinate services related to the property and household operations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for operational matters related to the estate.
  • Maintain basic records, schedules, and follow-ups for household and property needs.
  • Assist with the coordination and setup of small private events (up to approximate.

 

Houseman (Maintenance / Property Support Role)

  • Perform routine property inspections to ensure all systems and structures are functioning properly.
  • Handle light maintenance, minor repairs, and basic troubleshooting as needed.
  • Proactively identify issues and assess whether they can be resolved independently or require a specialized vendor.
  • Coordinate and engage appropriate service providers when issues exceed in-house capabilities.
  • Support the upkeep of outdoor areas and liaise with landscaping services when applicable.
  • Monitor equipment, utilities, and overall property infrastructure.
  • Supervise external vendors during maintenance, repairs, or specialized service visits.
  • Assist with general estate-related tasks requiring hands-on support.
  • Ensure the property remains safe, fully functional, and well-maintained at all times.
