Job description
A warm, open-minded family based in Sint Maarten is seeking an experienced Live-in Nanny for a temporary four-month assignment, covering the period while their regular nanny is on holiday.
The role centres on their four-year-old daughter, a loving and happy child with developmental delays who is non-verbal, alongside supervision of her eight-year-old brother when needed.
The family leads a very structured, hands-on lifestyle and is looking for someone with a genuinely warm, patient nature and a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Responsibilities
- Full care of the four-year-old daughter, including assistance with teeth brushing, bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Leading structured daily activities suited to her needs
- School drop-off at 8:30 AM
- Supervising her nap at 1 PM
- Afternoon activity followed by dinner, with bedtime by 8 PM
- Supervise care of her eight-year-old brother, on an as-needed basis
- Weekend coverage when the parents are out
- Light housework related to the children, tidying and cleaning toys, light laundry for the children's items
- General collaboration with hands-on parents, who remain closely involved
- A proper handover period with the family's current nanny before she departs on holiday
Requirements
- Experienced, warm, and patient nanny with a genuine passion for children with additional needs
- Prior experience with developmental delays or non-verbal children strongly preferred
- Comfortable with a structured daily routine and hands-on parents
- Happy to occasionally support with a second, younger child and light kids'-related housework
- EU passport preferred, for visa purposes
- Available for the full four-month period, live-in
Work conditions
Contract & Living Arrangement:
This is a temporary, live-in position running from 1 November 2026 to 28 February 2027, based at the family's home in Sint Maarten.
Working hours are 7 AM to 8 PM, with a midday nap break; weekend coverage and evening availability are required as needed.
The household includes a chef, and live-in accommodation, meals, and round-trip airfare are provided.
