Job description

A warm and welcoming family is seeking an experienced, reliable, and engaging Nanny to care for their three school-aged children aged 10, 8, and 5.

This is a long-term position with a family who values consistency, teamwork, and a strong partnership between parents and nanny.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the children's routines, development, and overall well-being while working closely with the parents.

The family divides its time between Puerto Rico and Greenwich, Connecticut, offering an exciting opportunity for a nanny who enjoys travel and working within a dynamic family environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and nurturing care for three school-aged children.
  • Assist with morning routines and school drop-offs.
  • Support homework, educational activities, and emotional development.
  • Coordinate after-school activities and appointments.
  • Assist with dinner, bath time, and bedtime routines.
  • Work collaboratively with the parents to maintain consistency and structure.
  • Prepare simple family meals and children's snacks.
  • Children's laundry and organisation of children's belongings.
  • Run occasional household errands.
  • Light housekeeping related to the children.
  • Assist with light pet care and occasional dog walking if desire.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of professional nanny experience.
  • Experience caring for multiple children simultaneously.
  • Experience supporting children with differing developmental or educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Background in Occupational Therapy (OT) is a strong advantage.
  • Strong swimmer comfortable supervising children around pools and the ocean.
  • Confident driver with a valid driver's licence.
  • Comfortable driving a family vehicle and golf cart.
  • Spanish-speaking or conversational Spanish highly preferred.
  • Organised, proactive, flexible, and dependable.
  • Team-oriented and comfortable working closely with parents.

Work conditions

Schedule

The family is open to structuring the schedule in one of the following ways:

Option 1

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Option 2 – Split Shift Schedule

  • Monday–Friday
  • Morning responsibilities including school preparation and household tasks
  • Midday break/free time
  • Afternoon and evening responsibilities including school pick-up, activities, dinner, and bedtime.

The position guarantees approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility in how those hours are distributed.

 

Accommodation & Living Arrangements

  • Live-out preferred
  • The family is open to assisting with nearby accommodation for the right candidate
  • Housing stipend provided
  • Live-in accommodation available when required
  • Private bedroom and bathroom provided in both Puerto Rico and Connecticut residences
  • Private entrance available at the Puerto Rico residence

 

Travel

  • Residence in Puerto Rico for most of the year
  • Summer residence in Greenwich, Connecticut (May–August)
  • Travel with the family throughout the year
  • Nanny expected to accompany the family on occasional vacations
