Job description

A private Ukrainian/Egyptian family based in Marina Residence, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai is seeking an experienced, caring, and dedicated Live-in Nanny to provide full-time care for their newborn baby, who is expected to arrive soon.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the baby's safety, well-being, comfort, and healthy development from birth.

The Nanny will provide attentive newborn care, establish healthy routines, and support the family with all childcare-related responsibilities while maintaining a calm, nurturing, and hygienic environment.

The Nanny will work alongside a live-in Housekeeper, who will be responsible for the general housekeeping duties.

The ideal candidate should have previous newborn experience, be patient, trustworthy, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with another household staff member.

Responsibilities

  • Newborn Care: Provide attentive and loving care for the newborn, ensuring the baby's safety, comfort, hygiene, and overall well-being at all times.
  • Daily Routine: Establish and maintain healthy feeding, sleeping, bathing, and daily care routines appropriate for a newborn.
  • Feeding Support: Prepare and sterilize baby bottles when required, assist with feeding, burping, and monitor feeding schedules.
  • Diapering & Hygiene: Change diapers regularly, bathe the baby, dress the baby appropriately, and maintain excellent hygiene standards.
  • Developmental Support: Encourage age-appropriate sensory stimulation and early developmental activities that support the baby's physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Baby Laundry: Wash, fold, iron, and organize the baby's clothing, bedding, towels, and other baby-related items.
  • Light Household Duties: Carry out light household tasks related to the child, including cleaning and sterilizing feeding equipment, tidying the nursery and play areas, organizing toys, and preparing the baby's belongings for daily use.
  • Health & Well-being: Observe the baby's health, routines, and development, and promptly communicate any concerns to the parents.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the family's Housekeeper to ensure the smooth
    day-to-day operation of the household while maintaining clear responsibilities.
  • Discretion & Professionalism: Maintain complete confidentiality, professionalism, and respect for the family's privacy at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous experience caring for newborns in a private household or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of newborn care, feeding routines, hygiene, sleep schedules, and early childhood development.
  • Patient, nurturing, attentive, and genuinely passionate about childcare.
  • Able to remain calm and confident in a newborn care environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Flexible with working hours when required.
  • Fluent in English.
  • A relevant childcare qualification or First Aid/CPR certification is an advantage.

Work conditions

  • Live-in position
  • Shared accommodation with the family's Housekeeper, with an attached bathroom
  • Starting date: 1 October
  • Meals provided
  • 9–10 working hours per day, with flexibility required when necessary
  • 1 day off per week
  • UAE Employment Visa provided
  • Medical insurance provided
  • Annual return flight ticket provided in accordance with UAE Labour Law
