Job description

An international family is seeking a professional Nanny to support the care of their young son during their summer stay in Miami, Florida.

The family normally resides abroad and is accustomed to working with highly experienced household staff. Due to current international circumstances, they will be spending the summer months in Miami and are seeking a qualified nanny to provide support during this period.

The position will focus primarily on the care and engagement of the family's almost three-year-old son. The mother is highly involved in parenting and remains actively engaged in her child’s daily routine, education, and activities.

The ideal candidate will be experienced, professional, and comfortable working in a structured household environment where routines and organization are highly valued.

The family is open to live-in or live-out arrangements, allowing flexibility in sourcing the strongest candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive supervision and engage the child in age-appropriate activities that support development, creativity, and learning.
  • Accompany the child to outings, playdates, and activities when needed.
  • Support the child’s routine, including assisting with meals, snacks, and maintaining organization in the child’s living spaces.
  • Prepare simple meals and snacks for the child and maintain cleanliness and organization within the child’s bedroom and play areas.
  • Assist with maintaining the child’s daily structure, including preparation for activities, camp attendance, and other scheduled engagements.
  • Manage the child’s belongings, including organizing toys, maintaining wardrobe order, and handling the child’s laundry.
  • Encourage positive behavior, social interaction, and structured play in alignment with the family’s parenting approach.
  • Work collaboratively with the mother, who remains actively involved in the child’s care and daily activities.
  • Support occasional travel preparation and accompany the family if needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional nanny experience in private households.
  • Strong experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor with strong discretion and reliability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a highly involved parent.
  • Flexible and adaptable to an international family lifestyle.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain structured routines.
  • Non-smoker.
  • Ability to travel if required.
  • Candidates with strong educational backgrounds, multilingual abilities, or experience with internationally based families are highly valued.

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Approximately 45 hours per week (flexible depending on the week)
  • One midweek day off (not weekends)
