Job description
A family of four in Downtown Manhattan (SOHO) is seeking a full-time, full charge Nanny to care for their two young children aged 3 years and 16 months.
This is a live-out position requiring a highly capable, intelligent, and nurturing professional who genuinely loves children and can provide exceptional childcare.
The role includes occasional travel approximately 4 times per year for 1-3 weeks per trip, requiring a valid passport. The ideal candidate will be well-spoken, versatile, and exhibit excellent communication skills with a well-rounded personality.

Responsibilities
- Provide full charge care for a 3-year-old boy and 16-month-old girl
- Plan and implement creative and educational activities appropriate for both age groups
- Set up and coordinate playdates with other children
- Organize and coordinate educational trips and outings
- Maintain constant supervision ensuring safety and attentiveness at all times
- Handle behavioral issues with patience and appropriate discipline techniques
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children
- Manage all child-related laundry and maintain children's wardrobes
- Keep children's spaces clean, organized, and tidy
- Accompany the family on approximately 4 trips per year, ranging from 1-3 weeks each
- Maintain flexibility to extend working hours when parents are delayed
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's daily activities and development
Requirements
- Highly capable and versatile nanny with proven experience caring for toddlers and young children
- Well-spoken and intelligent, with excellent communication skills
- Nurturing, fun-loving and engaging personality with a genuine love for children
- Highly organized, proactive and self-motivated, with strong time management abilities
- Respectful of family privacy and boundaries, and willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed
- Creative in planning age-appropriate educational activities
- Confident managing behavioral challenges
- Attentive, safety-conscious and professional at all times
- Valid passport and availability for occasional family travel
- Essential: experience with infant and toddler development, strong cooking skills for children's meals, and flexibility to accommodate varying schedules
Work conditions
- Position: Full-time, live-out
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Flexibility: Required to work beyond 8:00 PM when parents are delayed
- Travel: Approximately 4 family trips per year, each lasting 1–3 weeks
- Benefits: Workers' compensation insurance, medical stipend and 2 weeks' paid vacation annually
- Household: No pets in the home
Salary
$1,800+ gross per week, based on experience and qualifications
