Job description
A private family in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking an experienced, warm, and highly structured Full-Time Nanny to provide comprehensive care and early childhood development for their child(ren).
The ideal candidate possesses formal Montessori training and applies child-led, independent-learning principles to daily routines.
We are seeking a multilingual professional fluent in English as well as at least one of the following languages: German, Spanish, French, or Italian.
A nanny who has raised older or grown children of their own and brings deep, practical parenting experience alongside professional childcare expertise would be an ideal fit.
Responsibilities
Childcare & Montessori Education
- Child Development: Implement Montessori-aligned activities that foster independence, spatial awareness, critical thinking, and fine/gross motor skills.
- Daily Routines: Manage nutritious meal prep for children, nap schedules, hygiene, dressing, and age-appropriate learning opportunities.
- Language Immersion: Engage with the child(ren) using language immersion techniques in German, Spanish, French, or Italian alongside English.
- Outings & Activities: Manage engaging, educational enriching activities in property.
Nurturing & Household Support (Child-Related)
- Environment Maintenance: Keep children’s bedrooms, play areas, and Montessori workstations clean, organized, and properly sanitized.
- Child Logistics: Maintain pediatric appointments, school/activity schedules, and transport children with driver safely to activities as required.
- Family Collaboration: Maintain open, clear communication with parents regarding daily progress, milestones, and behavioral strategies.
Requirements
- Montessori Certification: Formal Montessori training or certification (e.g., AMI, AMS, or equivalent) is strictly required.
- Language Proficiency: Native or professional fluency in English AND at least one of the following: German, Spanish, French, or Italian.
- Experience Level: Extensive private nanny experience; candidates with personal experience raising their own older/grown children are highly preferred.
- Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications (Infant/Child).
- Transportation: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Background: Trustworthy, warm, patient demeanor; clean background check and professional references.
