Job description
A lovely Greek family based in Arabian Ranches, Dubai, UAE, is seeking a caring, responsible,
and experienced Live-In Nanny to provide attentive care and support for their two children, aged
2 and 8 years old.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the children's daily routine, including helping
them get ready for school, walking them to and from school, supervising them, and engaging them
in age-appropriate activities.
The family is looking for someone warm, patient, reliable, and genuinely enjoys working with children.
The family already has a cleaner, and cooking is handled by another person in the household.
Therefore, housekeeping and cooking responsibilities will be very limited.
The nanny may occasionally prepare simple snacks such as omelettes, toast, and other basic food for the children.
The position is full-time and live-in, with a private bedroom and bathroom provided. The nanny
will work 6 days per week with 1 flexible day off. Daily meals will also be provided by the family.
Responsibilities
- Childcare: Provide attentive, caring, and responsible care for the family's two children,
aged 2 and 8 years old. - Morning Routine: Be available when the children wake up and assist them with their
morning routine and preparation for school. - School Runs: Walk the children to and from school, which is approximately 15 minutes
away on foot. - Child Supervision: Supervise the children throughout the day and ensure their safety,
comfort, and wellbeing. - Activities & Play: Engage the 2-year-old child in age-appropriate activities such as
coloring, painting, crafts, creative play, and other activities. - Bedtime: Occasionally assist with the children's bedtime routine. On these occasions, the
working day may finish at approximately 8:00 PM. - Simple Food Preparation: Prepare occasional simple snacks and light food for the
children, such as omelettes, toast, and similar basic meals. - Pet Care: Take the family's small dog for a walk in the morning and evening.
- Evening Babysitting: Occasionally remain with and supervise the children when the
parents go out for dinner or have an evening commitment. - Children's Organisation: Help keep the children's personal belongings, toys, and areas
organised as part of the normal childcare routine. - Professionalism & Discretion: Maintain complete confidentiality, discretion,
professionalism, and respect for the family's privacy at all times.
Requirements
- Previous professional experience working as a nanny, childcare professional, or similar
role is highly preferred. - Experience caring for toddlers and school-aged children is strongly preferred.
- Warm, caring, patient, responsible, and trustworthy personality.
- Genuine interest in childcare and ability to create a positive and engaging environment
for children. - Able to organise and manage children's daily routines effectively.
- Comfortable walking children to and from school.
- Able to engage young children in creative, educational, and age-appropriate activities.
- Comfortable occasionally assisting with bedtime and evening babysitting.
- Comfortable caring for and walking a small family dog.
- Able to prepare simple snacks and basic food for children when required.
- Flexible, adaptable, organised, and attentive to detail.
- Professional, reliable, discreet, and respectful of the privacy of the household.
