Job description

A bustling family of four in Miami Beach is seeking a dedicated, long-term Live-In Nanny/Housekeeper/Family Assistant type to manage the daily operations of their home and provide engaging, high-energy care for their two daughters (ages 7 and 5) after school.

This role is ideal for a seasoned domestic professional who excels at maintaining clear professional boundaries while bringing a calm, warm, and playful demeanor to their interactions with children.

The family employs a separate Housekeeper for deep cleaning, allowing this position to focus on daily household maintenance, organizing, and direct childcare.

The ideal candidate views this as a long-term career commitment (10–15 years preferred) and thrives in a structured, highly professional private estate environment.

Responsibilities

Daily Household Management & Maintenance (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

  • Maintain daily tidiness and organization of the home (general upkeep, organizing closets, toy rotation, and keeping common areas pristine).
  • Manage daily laundry and ironing for the family, ensuring delicate garments are handled correctly.
  • Coordinate with the deep-cleaning housekeeper to ensure the estate is meticulously maintained.
  • Run household errands and manage inventory of household supplies.
  • Assist with basic meal preparation or school lunch prep as needed.

 

After-School Childcare & Engagement (5:00 PM – End of Shift)

  • Receive the children warmly when they arrive home from school at 5:30 PM.
  • Transition seamlessly from household tasks to childcare, providing 2+ hours of active, intentional, and playful engagement before bedtime.
  • Maintain a calm, structured, and positive evening routine (assistance with baths, pajamas, and wind-down time).

 

Travel & Flexibility

  • Accompany the family on domestic and international travel as needed (advanced notice will be provided).
  • Maintain flexibility regarding evening end times, with guaranteed compensation for all overtime hours worked.

Requirements

  • Professional Boundaries: A clear understanding of private service dynamics; ability to deliver highly personalized care while maintaining an objective, professional distance.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Nanny/Housekeeper, Family Assistant, or Executive Housekeeper in high-end private residences.
  • Longevity: A track record of long-term commitment in previous roles, with the explicit intent to commit to this family for the next 10–15 years.
  • Disposition: A calm, patient anchor for the home who transitions effortlessly into a fun, playful, and creative caregiver for young children.
  • Skills: Strong driving record (driving required); excellent organizational skills; ability to establish and stick to a daily structure.

Work conditions

  • Private Living Quarters: A separate, private small apartment detached from the main residence, offering complete privacy during off-hours.
  • Overtime: Fully compensated hourly overtime for hours worked past the standard schedule.
  • Benefits: Healthcare/medical benefits package included.
  • Flexibility: Generous flexibility regarding scheduled days off (Tuesday is the primary day off, but adaptable).

Salary

$900 – $1,000/week base salary, depending on experience.
