Job description
We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and well-presented Housekeeper / Nanny to support a private household in Umm Suqeim.
This position is primarily focused on housekeeping duties, with approximately 20% of the role dedicated to childcare for a 2-year-old boy outside of nursery hours.
The ideal candidate is organized, calm, and trustworthy, with high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and takes pride in maintaining a welcoming and well-kept home. A gentle, attentive approach to caring for young children is essential.
Responsibilities
Tasks & Responsibilities
- General daily cleaning and tidying of the villa.
- Sweeping and mopping floors as required.
- Dusting surfaces, furniture, and fixtures.
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and common areas.
- Bathrooms cleaned twice per week.
- Periodic deep cleaning of rooms, cupboards, and appliances.
- Ensuring hygienic and well-organized living spaces.
- Washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes (must be excellent at ironing).
- Proper care of delicate fabrics.
- Organizing wardrobes and linen closets.
- Can handle stains / hand washing.
- Prepare daily meals for the household.
- Follow recipes accurately.
- Cook preferred cuisines: Arabic, Lebanese and Syrian.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food hygiene standards.
- Assist with hosting and serving during family gatherings.
- Ensure the home is presentable for guests.
- Support household needs as required.
Childcare & Nanny Duties (Approx. 20%)
- Supervise the 2 Year old boy outside nursery hours.
- Ensure a safe environment at all times.
- Be alert to unsafe situations and toddler hazards.
- Apply basic child safety awareness.
- Assist before and after nursery hours.
- Good to have: (1) Gentle and developmental play and (2) Has experience with toddler first aid /anti choking.
- Supervise during afternoons and non-nap times.
- Support nap routine (monitoring only, no sleep training required).
- Occasionally support with the bedtime routine (shower, read a book, put to bed).
- Supervise at play areas / play dates (with attention on child).
- Follow parents’ instructions and planned activities.
- Maintain patience and positive behavior management.
Requirements
- Presentable appearance and excellent personal hygiene - extremely important.
- Well-trained in housekeeping duties.
- Strong time management and organization skills.
- Able to take feedback and adapt to household preferences.
- Fluent English (mandatory).
- Confident, clear communicator.
- Positive attitude and good energy.
- Patient, calm, and reliable.
- Trustworthy and respectful.
- Willing to learn and adapt.
- Non-smoker.

Salary
AED 3,500 – 5,000 per month
