Job description

A warm and active British family relocating from London to Dubai in August are seeking an experienced and energetic Nanny or Nanny/ Housekeeper to join their household.

The family has one son, aged 4.5 years old (turning 5 at Christmas). The father works full-time and the mother is currently transitioning professionally.

The family values a candidate who is genuinely child-focused, adventurous, and passionate about early childhood. The right candidate will be selected based on their skills and experience.

Responsibilities

Childcare: Primary Focus
  • Provide attentive, loving, and stimulating care for a 4.5-year-old boy.
  • Plan and lead age-appropriate activities: arts and crafts, outdoor play, educational games, and outings.
  • Be energetic and proactive, get out and about with the child; visit parks, museums, playdates, and local attractions.
  • Manage the school pick-up at approximately 2:30–3:00 PM and oversee the after-school routine.
  • Support the child's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Assist with homework and reading as the child progresses through school.
  • Cover mornings as needed, shared between parents and nanny.
  • Be available for occasional babysitting in the evenings as required.

 

Housekeeping: Secondary Focus (if applicable)
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organized family home (4–5 bedrooms).
  • Handle laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management for the family.
  • Manage grocery shopping and household errands.
  • Prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the child.
  • Ensure the child's bedroom, play areas, and belongings are kept in order.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a nanny.
  • Experience working with British or Western families highly preferred.
  • Energetic, active, and enthusiastic, must enjoy being outdoors and on the go.
  • Warm, nurturing, and patient personality with a genuine love for children.
  • Reliable, discreet, and trustworthy - able to integrate naturally into family life.
  • Flexible and adaptable to the evolving needs of a relocating family.
  • Paediatric first aid certification is desirable.
  • A valid UAE driving licence or willingness to obtain one is an advantage.
  • Open to candidates of all nationalities
  • Ability to swim would be great but not essential

Salary

5,000-7,000 AED per month
