Job description

Our client is seeking a long-term, live-in Nanny/Family Assistant to support a values-driven household during an important life transition.

This role is ideal for a professional who combines strong childcare expertise, emotional maturity, and discretion, while feeling comfortable working within a faith-respectful, structured family environment.

The position centers on the daily care and development of two young children, while also providing thoughtful household support that contributes to stability, calm, and organization within the home. The family values consistency, integrity, kindness, and respectful communication, and is looking for someone who naturally embodies these qualities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for a toddler and a school-aged child.
  • Support daily routines including meals, naps, hygiene, dressing, and bedtime preparation.
  • Encourage emotional grounding, positive behavior, and character development aligned with parents’ guidance.
  • Assist with school-related routines and age-appropriate educational activities.
  • Prepare children for outings, appointments, travel, and special occasions.
  • Accompany the family during domestic and international travel when required.
  • Maintain children’s areas, including bedrooms, play spaces, and related organization.
  • Assist with children’s laundry, light ironing, and wardrobe care.
  • Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children.
  • Support general household order through light housekeeping related to the children and daily flow of the home.
  • Assist the parent with personal household needs such as packing, organization, and daily logistics.
  • Always maintain discretion and professionalism, particularly during high-profile or sensitive situations.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with the parent regarding schedules, needs, and observations.
  • Provide stable support on days when the principal has long work hours, meetings, or traveling.

Requirements

  • Minimum years of professional experience in private households, family assistant roles, or long-term nanny positions.
  • Demonstrated experience caring for infants/toddlers and young children simultaneously.
  • Calm, grounded temperament with strong emotional intelligence.
  • Comfortable working in a values-based, faith-respectful household environment..
  • Ability to support parents’ approach to character development and household structure.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Polished personal presentation and professional demeanor.
  • Strong boundaries, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Long-term mindset and commitment to stability.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Excellent references from previous private employers.
