Live-Out Butler job (M/F) in Dubai, UAE
Job description
A principal based in Dubai is looking for an exceptional Butler, ensuring seamless service throughout the day.
The household is supported by an established team, including a chef, drivers and housekeepers, and is also home to the principal's dog, an Australian Labradoodle.
The butler will be the first point of contact for visitors, so presentation and warmth are essential. They will need to understand and anticipate the principal's routine and make an immediate impact, delivering discreet, polished service with a keen eye for detail from day one.
Full-time and live-out, 6 days per week, hours to be discussed but may alternate each week depending on Principals whereabouts and appointments.
Transportation to and from work can be provided (dependant on where the pick-up is from, and can be discussed at interview). Shortlisted candidates will complete a trial next week, with an immediate start following a successful trial.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming and looking after visitors to the residence
- Preparing and serving drinks and beverages throughout the day
- Food service and table service duties
- Polishing silverware and maintaining service items to the highest standard
- Ordering household items and maintaining a spend log
- Maintaining inventories, ensuring they are kept up to date and accurate
- Packing for the Principal before he travels, and unpacking when he returns
- Supporting the household's overall presentation and attention to detail
- Caring for the principal's dog, including feeding, fresh water, grooming and walks
- Working in coordination with the chef, drivers and housekeeping team
- Ad hoc duties at the Principal's request
Requirements
- Experienced butlers with a solid background in UHNW private households
- Impeccably presented, with a warm and polished manner when welcoming visitors
- Hardworking, committed, trustworthy and flexible
- Polished in food and beverage service, with excellent attention to detail
- Intuitive and able to quickly understand and adapt to the principal's routine
- Able to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact
- Comfortable with dogs and happy to take on their daily care
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Available for a trial this week and an immediate start
