Job description
A private international family is seeking a professional nanny to support the care of their 3 years old son during their summer stay in Miami, Florida.
The role is primarily focused on providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the
toddler, with the long-term goal of consolidating care for both children under one highly capable
professional.
This is a live-in position requiring a calm, intelligent, and emotionally perceptive
nanny who can offer stability, consistency, and flexibility within a private household.
The ideal candidate is confident, highly engaged, and capable of managing an energetic toddler
while supporting healthy emotional and behavioral development.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care for a 3-year-old boy, including constant supervision and
engagement. - Support care for a 6-month-old girl, with the intention of eventually assuming full care for
both children. - Actively manage and engage a very energetic toddler who requires close, continuous
supervision. - Foster emotional regulation, behavioral guidance, and developmental growth through
intentional interaction. - Engage children through thoughtful play, activities, and stimulation (not passive
supervision). - Maintain routines aligned with the children’s needs, including waking hours through
bedtime. - Be attentive to nighttime needs typical of a live-in role.
- Prepare meals for the children 1–2 times per week.
- Organize children’s bedrooms, clothing, and personal items.
- Collaborate respectfully with an existing housekeeper.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a professional nanny in private households.
- Spanish-speaking (important requirement).
- High level of emotional intelligence and maturity.
- Strong understanding of child development and behavior.
- Calm, confident, and composed demeanor.
- Highly attentive and proactive with energetic children.
- Flexible, adaptable, and reliable.
- High flexibility to travel domestically and internationally.
- Flexible to work 5 to 6 days a week.
- Authorized to work legally in the US.
