Job description
A European family based in Dubai is seeking an experienced and dedicated Live-In Nanny to provide exceptional care, guidance, and support for their two young boys (ages 3 and 4).
The family is looking for a mature, experienced nanny who can immediately step into the role and become a trusted part of the household. The ideal candidate will have extensive professional nanny experience, be a mother herself, and have first-hand experience raising children.
This role is suited for someone who is passionate about childcare, has a strong work ethic, and is genuinely committed to building a long-term relationship with the family. The family values candidates who are proactive, adaptable, and willing to support beyond childcare duties when needed.
This is a live-in position, with accommodation provided within the main house. The household is fully staffed; however, the nanny should be comfortable assisting with light household tasks and meal preparation when required, especially during children’s school hours.
Candidates currently outside the UAE who are willing to relocate are welcome, with relocation flights covered by the family.
Responsibilities
Childcare & Development
- Provide attentive, nurturing, and professional care for two young boys aged 3 and 4.
- Support the children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through ageappropriate activities.
- Create and maintain daily routines including meals, naps, playtime, and bedtime.
- Prepare children for nursery and assist with morning routines.
- Escort children to nursery, playdates, martial arts classes, parks, and other activities.
- Organize educational, creative, and recreational activities to encourage learning and development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and structured environment for the children.
Household & Family Support
- Assist with children-related household tasks, including organizing toys, children’s belongings, and play areas.
- Be comfortable preparing simple meals, snacks, and refreshments for the children.
- Support with light household tasks when needed, particularly during children’s school hours.
- Work collaboratively with other household staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Take initiative in identifying ways to support the family and children’s routines.
Travel & Flexibility
- Travel with the family when required, including extended stays abroad (approximately 3 months in Europe during summer and 10 days in Switzerland in December).
- Adapt to the family’s schedule and changing needs.
- Maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- Must be a mother herself with personal experience raising children.
- Extensive professional nanny experience, preferably with young children aged 3–6.
- Proven ability to independently manage childcare responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Previous experience working in private households or with high-profile families is highly preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Mature, responsible, and emotionally intelligent personality.
- Strong work ethic with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Willingness to assist with cooking and light household support when required.
- Genuine interest in becoming a long-term member of the family’s household.
- Not seeking only overseas experience or a short-term opportunity; the family is looking for someone committed and experienced.
- Comfortable with a live-in arrangement and travelling with the family.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work well alongside other household staff.
