Job description

Client seeks a Live-In Executive Housekeeper responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, laundry, wardrobe and organization of a private residence in Belle Vernon, PA. This role includes “hands-on” overseeing and managing cleaning schedule, maintaining household inventory, and ensuring the overall comfort and satisfaction of the family members. The Executive Housekeeper will also be expected to assist with special events and manage household logistics, oversee vendors and contractors while renovations to main house and oversee second lake house in Maryland.

Responsibilities

Household:
  • Develop and implement daily, weekly, and seasonal cleaning schedules for the entire residence, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards. Hands-on with cleaning, laundry, some cooking, general maintenance, and inventory.
  • Perform regular inspections of all rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness, order, and maintenance.
  • Ensure the household is organized and well-maintained, including managing closets, storage areas, and pantry organization and inventory.

 

Inventory and Supplies Management:

  • Maintain an inventory of household supplies, including cleaning products, linens, and other essentials.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed, ensuring the household is always well-stocked.
  • Run errands, food shopping, and drive to and from appointments as needed.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers, ensuring high-quality products and services.

 

Event Preparation and Support:

  • Assist with planning and executing household events, including preparing guest rooms, and coordinating with caterers and other service providers.
  • Ensure the residence is prepared and presentable for family events, guest visits, and other special occasions.

 

Maintenance Coordination:

  • Identify and report any maintenance or repair needs within the household.
  • Coordinate with external contractors & vendors, and service providers for necessary repairs and maintenance work, ensuring minimal disruption to the household.

 

Confidentiality and Discretion:

  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion regarding the family’s personal matters and household affairs.
  • Ensure all staff are aware of and adhere to privacy expectations.

Requirements

  •  Extensive experience in housekeeping within a private household or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Driver’s License is a must.
  • Proficiency in using household management systems and software is a plus.

Salary

Gross annual salary:  $70k -$75k, depending on experience + health stipend to be discussed with client.
