Full-Time Live-In Chef and Housekeeper (M/F) job in Southlake, Texas, US
Job description
An active household in Southlake, Texas is seeking a live-in Chef and Housekeeper (Couple or Individual), preferably a couple, to provide full-time support in maintaining a high standard of household service.
The family will also consider a single Housekeeper who is a skilled cook. The household is semi-formal with a separate crew for deep cleaning, allowing the primary focus to be on daily upkeep, organization, and high-quality meal preparation.
Responsibilities
Chef Duties:
- Prepare daily meals with an emphasis on fresh, healthy, and flavorful cuisine.
- Plan menus according to family preferences and dietary needs.
- Manage grocery shopping, pantry organization, and kitchen inventory.
- Prepare snacks and light meals throughout the day as requested.
- Provide meal service for family and guests.
Housekeeping Duties:
- Maintain overall tidiness and daily upkeep of the residence.
- Handle laundry, wardrobe care, and linens.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks (deep cleaning team in place).
- Maintain household organization, including common areas and family spaces.
Requirements
- Be available on a “beck and call” basis as needed throughout the day (typically 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM).
- Work collaboratively with other household staff and service providers.
- Accompany the family during travel, including international trips such as Dubai in December.
- Demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and adaptability in a dynamic household environment.
- Prior experience in a private, fully staffed household.
- Strong culinary background: formal training preferred but not required.
- Excellent housekeeping and organizational skills.
- Positive, service-oriented attitude with flexibility and discretion.
- Ability to work long hours and travel as needed.
Work conditions
Schedule:
- 6:00 AM – Start of day (breakfast, household setup).
- 8:00 PM – End of day.
- Flexibility required depending on family needs and travel schedule.
- Location: Southlake, TX
- Schedule: Full-time, approximately 50 hours per week
- Accommodation: Private live-in apartment provided
- Travel: International travel required
