Housekeeper/Nanny job (M/F) in Villefranche-sur-Mer, France
Job description
A private family is seeking an experienced, trustworthy, and warm-natured Housekeeper & Nanny (M/F) for their private villa (~300 sqm) with guest house in Villefranche-sur-Mer, on the French Riviera.
This hybrid role combines property upkeep with the attentive, loving care of an infant currently aged 6 months. The family resides on the estate for approximately 100 days per year (primarily April to October), the working schedule adjusts accordingly between residence and non-residence periods.
Please note cooking is fully excluded from this role, and no formal nanny diploma is required ; practical experience with infants, reliability and a genuine affinity for childcare matter most to us.
The ideal candidate is discreet, autonomous and calm, equally comfortable caring for a young baby with warmth and confidence, and keeping a beautiful home running smoothly.
This is a long-term position, the family is looking for someone who will become a trusted and integral part of their household. Long-term position. As soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Regular, high-standard cleaning and care of the main villa (~300 sqm) and guest house
- Daily tidying, bed-making and room preparation ahead of the family's and guests' arrivals
- Complete management of the family's laundry: washing, drying and careful folding/storage
- Ironing with attention to fabric types and garment care
- Basic inventory management for household and cleaning supplies
- Care and watering of planter boxes on the ground floor and upper floor terraces, and at the guest house
- Regular inspection rounds of the property during non-residence periods
- Receiving and coordinating tradespeople, technicians and contractors for maintenance works
- Warm, attentive and loving care and supervision of the infant (currently 6 months old)
- Stroller walks, age-appropriate play and stimulation
- Respecting and maintaining the sleep and feeding routines established by the parents
- Ensuring a safe, hygienic and nurturing environment for the child at all times
Working Schedule
Family Away (~265 days/year)
- 3 days/week (~20 hours/week)
- Routine cleaning, property inspection rounds, plant & terrace care, contractor supervision
Family in Residence (~100 days/year)
- 5 days/week, 8h/day (40 hours/week)
- 50% housekeeping / 50% infant care
Requirements
- Languages: fluent French and English, both mandatory
- Proven experience in high-end private households or luxury hospitality
- Experience in laundry and ironing is appreciated.
- Basic sewing/mending skills would be an additional asset.

Work conditions
- Location : Villefranche-sur-Mer
- Work schedule : Permanent / CDI - managed via CESU Working
- Hours: variable. 20 hours/week when the owners are away // 40 hours/week when the owners are in residence
- Start date : Flexible. Quarter four 2026 or early 2027 / Finding the right personality and profile is prioritised over an immediate start date
