Job description
A family of four located in San Diego, seeking a reliable, thorough, and highly proactive Live-out Housekeeper & Cook to manage their primary residence.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, well-organized, and comfortable home environment.
This is a permanent, long-term role as the sole household staff member.
Responsibilities
Housekeeping & Organization
- Perform deep cleaning, routine daily maintenance, and general tidying across the main residence.
- Manage full-cycle laundry, including washing, folding, ironing, and proper garment care/storage.
- Keep household supplies, toiletries, and cleaning products fully stocked and organized.
Meal Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare and cook delicious, fresh daily dinners for a family of 4.
- Perform food prep, meal planning support, and keep the kitchen and pantry spotless.
- Manage grocery shopping, specialty store visits, and pantry restocking.
Household Errands & Management
- Run routine local errands (dry cleaning drop-off/pick-up, package handling, supply runs, etc.).
- Maintain general organization and smooth day-to-day operation of the primary home.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous long-term experience as a Housekeeper, Household Manager, or Cook in a private home.
- Culinary Skills: Strong cooking skills with the ability to prepare wholesome, delicious family dinners.
- Self-Motivated: Capable of working independently as the sole staff member with strong attention to detail.
- Reliability: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable personal transportation for errands, and authorization to work in the US.
- Professionalism: Discreet, trustworthy, respectful of family privacy, and seeking a long-term home position.
Work conditions
- Start Date: Flexible
- Location: San Diego, CA – Live Out
- Schedule: 24 hours/week (6 hours/day, 4 days/week) — Days/hours to be finalized with top candidate
