Job description

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeper/Cook for our client based in Milan, Italy, to take care of household chores and able to offer either simple, home-style cooking or more elaborate cuisine, depending on the occasion.

This is a permanent, full-time position, to be filled as soon as possible. Both live-out and live-in arrangements can be considered.

Responsibilities

General household chores (cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, polishing, etc.)
Laundry (washing, ironing, tidying)
Managing seasonal wardrobe changes
Assisting with packing and unpacking
Stocking the pantry and running grocery errands
Ensuring the smooth running of the apartment (270 sqm)
Setting the table for dinners
Preparing simple meals for the family
Preparing refined, elaborate cuisine for dinners or entertaining would be appreciated
Managing household inventory
Liaising with suppliers and contractors
Managing the household budget
Reporting directly to the owner

Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience in a private household with children
Versatile, proactive, organized, and dynamic
Enjoys cooking (home-style, with more elaborate cuisine being a plus)
Friendly and elegant manner, able to maintain good relationships with the existing team (2 Nannies,)
Flexible, with willingness to travel with the family
Excellent attention to detail
Comfortable around pets (small dog)
Strong sense of privacy and confidentiality
Italian-speaking with a decent level of English, or English-speaking with some Italian
